Sltcdavid
I am planning to invest on ripple for the long term (minimum a year), and wonder if the most profitable is to actually buy xrp (through bittrex) or to invest trough CFDs like Etoro? Hodor
I have to hand it to a CFD. I didn't think there was anything more risky than crypto, but derivatives based on crypto? Hats off gentlemen! On the other hand, it's a very necessary thing for financial institutions that want to hedge their bets I suppose. For individuals, I'd never recommend derivatives unless they absolutely know what they're doing and have time to manage things. If you want to get into crypto and don't have time to look every ten minutes? Yeah, XRP is going to be your best bet... but you still have to decide on an entry point. I'd say now, but you're talking to a guy who bought some at .225 a couple weeks ago. mvenneau
Sltcdavid
What excatly do you mean by derivatives? Do you mean sites like bittrex and other wallets?
tijmen90
CFD's are called derivatives. If I'm not mistaking. And for the rest I agree with Hodor. I have tried CFD's but its to time consuming if you have a regular life where you have to do other ... eehm .. well live. Hodor
Vacek_aka_Luschka
Welcome aboard ... and the time to buy is now (in my opinion) ... My experience is to use Kraken, Poloniex, Bitstamp, etc ... buy via them, and get yourself a cold wallet offline to store away your XRP
will4star
Or, use Ripple's own decentralized exchange: www.theworldexchange.net

Its all promising so far ill decide whether to bulk up more after conference. Its my only investment currently lol, may look into ETH once they get everything situated. Princess you seem to be a die hard, were you an early adopter of xrp? I was very fortunate to get in early thanks to snooping many of tiffany, ripple digital, nik & katz early conversations. Plenty of others I'm leaving out (sorry if I forgot). My only regret is not owning a home I could have drawn equity from In my mind Ripple was and still is a no brainer. It's like i'm Neo from The Matrix and seeing the world connected by fidget spinners everywhere I look. No joke. mvenneau, SimpleLife, PW2512 and 1 other 3

Princess you seem to be a die hard, were you an early adopter of xrp? I see you have some now and may buy later... that's fine, but for anyone reading this, and thinking they might wait to dip in after the Swell conference to see how it's gone.... At times in the past coins have gone up so fast that a few hours means you only get half of the coins you wanted for the dollars. I'm not saying it's definite, but there is a chance that after or during the conference will be too late to have gotten in at low prices. Just a heads up for any new investors not familiar with how rapidly the market can move in crypto. Of course it could also tank and you would loose nearly everything. Most here feel it's only going to go up though....

I only meant i would take those drastic measures she proposed if I had a crystal ball otherwise thats a horrible idea lol. As im already tapped out currently id have to look into other sources of funding haha.
