Gianluca
Hello guys and thanks for approving me in the group. I just want to listen to your opinion about one thing that happened to me. Few years ago I was invested in Ripple, then I just forgot the wallet. Yesterday, following the surging in price, I checked my portfolio again. With 'surprise' I noted that 90% of my ripple were gone. I was able to 'recover' the register with the detail of the operation and I know the account where my ripple were sent. The account is propriety of one firm that I never heard about (I will give the name in the future, first I want to understand what happened). The problem is that I can't remember any contact between me and them, any email, any contract of any sort and any order from me to send them ripple. I sent them an email but no answer 'till now. Now I would like to understand more... is there any of you who would give me some advice about what to do? This is the image of the operation: Thanks for your time Edited September 20, 2017 by T8493 title in all caps xrp_user

Gianluca
OK, I will I didn't till now because, even tought I purchased ripple with them I think I then sent ripple to another account and I had this operation done from there. I can't remember actually, I was just able to recover my wallet thanks to the secret key, that's why i think bitstamp it's not responsible I'll contact them BTW Xrphunter
Eik
The 26900 XRP were converted to 0.23 BTC and sent to a bitcoin address using the btc2ripple service (=SnapSwap exchange). I don't think the exchange is still operational? Otherwise contact them and ask to which bitcoin address it was sent. EDIT: destination tag for the btc2ripple service was 1403334172 Edited September 20, 2017 by Eik
FilippoSole
Sorry, I didn’t know we are not allowed to use other languages..... so, I sse you transfered some to Bitstamp, some to Snapswap. I don’t know what Snapswap is but could it be possible you opened there a wallet and sent the xrp trere? Try to contact the site! EDIT: destination tag for the btc2ripple service was 1403334172 Assuming btc2ripple service was running smoothly (and not charging fee from BTC amount), I see three candidate transactions: received by bitcoin nodes at 2014-08-06 14:57:24 (1 minute after Ripple transaction)https://blockchain.info/tx/31e7a1f6d8a32c64cd66e61c6c5ef38cd96b726cac0bd5ff9960c71692246f88 received by bitcoin nodes at 2014-08-06 15:32:15 (36 minutes after Ripple transaction)https://blockchain.info/tx/ba77f35a97555a2d3cbd2baedbb54a75751af24a648766923a5279457d4af71b received by bitcoin nodes at 2014-08-06 15:42:24 (46 minutes after Ripple transaction)https://blockchain.info/tx/7b9144a15e10ee7677fcccb1f9982c26f16f1f57e86a8de032fbe24ca1f8450c All of these have already been spent again. So if it wasn't that you sent the BTC to yourself, you will never see the funds again. If you are still interested in finding out who did this, then you'll have to search some further, starting with btc2ripple service (snapswap exchange) asking for destination tag 1403334172. Good luck with that BTC2Ripple has a horrible rep and very bad at communication. They are considered 'offline' and nonoperational by most
Gianluca
ok, thanks to all for the info I would have never gotten them without you I contacted yesterday snapswap and I'm waiting for the answer... otherwise I'll contact them again and see thanks a lot again Edited September 20, 2017 by Gianluca
Graine
@Gianluca please tell us when they respond. If you manage to make snapswap honor their ious, you'll be able to make so much more than the 28k you lost. Think of ~1M XRP at least. SnapSwap will just tell you to contact BTC2Ripple. Use the forum search to find other posts on the subject
