Storm
Hi there, I am about to create my first Rippex wallet. I would like the process to be as secure as possible. Here are my thoughts of doing it: 1. Format my computer (reinstall windows, wipe everything). 2. Install the Rippex software (from a USB-stick, so that the computer will not go online before creating the wallet). 3. Install the wallet on a newly bought USB-stick that has not been in contact with the internet. 4. Make paper copies of the secret key. 5. Make sure that the USB stick with the wallet will ever be plugged into a computer with internet connection. Are the above steps correct in order to make a 99.99% secure cold wallet? Do I need to make a backup of the wallet file/USB-stick? Or is that not nessecary when I have several versions of the secret key? Are there any more kind of backups that I should make? (e.g. if there is a fire in my apartment, and both the secret keys and the cold wallet is destroyed) Best regards from the quite paranoid Storm.
