Malloy
From @CurrencyGuy hollow - close above open, filled - close below open previous candle is referenced with black or red color. hollow or filled deals with close vs open on the candle itself More info here http://stockcharts.com/articles/mailbag/2014/05/whats-the-difference-between-solid-and-filled-candlesticks.html Mercury
CurrencyGuy
You can choose a normal candlestick chart vs a solid candlestick chart. It seems the normal candlestick chart gives you more information. The hollow vs filled can let you know if there was indecision vs decisiveness of direction during the time period of the candle. Can someone answer why you would want a solid candlestick chart vs a normal one?

I don't use the hollow candle unless I'm watching a daily stocks chart...cause stocks have an opening and closing time during week days, crypto run 24/7 And why only daily, cause if you setup your chart to 5min, 15, 30, it changes the open/close and to me, bring only some noise I don't need.
