Guest
I'm not very knowledgable so probably can't help but I do know that the folk here will likely need more detail. What site are you on, what wallet did you use, what system you using... Eg Windows7, iOS etc. More detail will likely get a more helpful reply. I hope it goes ok for you... good luck. kenrino
Did you backup your secret key? (start with a s...) then you should be fine.

pftq
What keys do you have? When you create a wallet, you should have a key that starts with an r (your address) and another that starts with an s (your secret key).

pftq
The wallet might have confusingly created a RegularKey for you, but for our purposes here, it should function the same (a regularkey can be used in lieu of a secret key to login and do the same things as a secret key). What you need to do is make sure to login with both an address (starts with r) and the regular key or secret key (starts with s). A secret key for normal accounts can be used to find the address as well, but a regularkey is a secret key borrowed from another account so you need to provide both if you're logging in with a regular key (otherwise it doesn't know if you're trying to login to the account the secret key is borrowed from or the account doing the actual borrowing of the secret key). You said you sent XRP to the wallet, so to do that, you must have had an address (begins with r). What happens when you sign in using both the address (starts with r) and the secret (starts with s)? I'm not familiar with that particular wallet, so if that doesn't work, you can try the wallet I've made here which properly handles both normal accounts and accounts with regular keys (again input both the address starting with r and secret starting with s when logging in): https://www.theworldexchange.net/ Edited August 13, 2017 by pftq

Unfortunately Ripple are not in retail... they are providing the rails for the financial trains.... they don't sell tickets so are not the folk to ask for help. Its all a lot harder now than it will be in future... but the price will have risen by then, when its all mainstream and basically invisibly binding our world together.... so be glad its hard now. In your case however that doesn't help. The person ( @pftq )who is helping you knows heaps and if they are willing to keep assisting you cant get better than that. Hopefully you appreciate his/her time.

Correct - put your address (starting with r) and regular key (starting with s). The website will tell you if your login is incorrect. If not, you should see your balances in the upper right. pftq
That's a wallet file that only that software uses. Once you open it, does it show you your address and secret key? Again they look like: r----------... s--------... I was referring to my site here, which allows you to use the keys directly without any files: https://www.theworldexchange.net/ (upper right, login) Edited August 14, 2017 by pftq

Guest
Why does that account say "Receiving XRP: Not Allowed' ? (I manually typed the address into Bithomp explorer.)
