Wallas
Good evening, I have just installed Ripple Desktop Wallet at the moment by means of github : https://github.com/ripple/ripple-client-desktop. So I had the command : gulb, on my debian jessie, and the window of ripple opened. Only, when I want to create my account nothing takes place, I have no field which appears. Anybody can help me ? Thanks You !
kenrino
Official Ripple desktop client is no longer maintained, I used Rippex version (forked from official) under Ubuntu several times with no issue. Just make sure you backup (print) your secret key. https://rippex.net/carteira-ripple.php#/

I am wanting to download a wallet to a MacBook then USB key it to a offline clean windows7 PC. I looked at the rippex but all the help was in Dutch or some such. I was a bit put off from using it because of that. I am also considering using @pftq's wallet (Worldexchange ?) but haven't seen any community third party audits yet. (I actually think he is smart and the wallet is good and it's a shame it's not getting support yet.... maybe it is... I am not sure) Open to suggestions. namini
Rippex made some great tutorials in English: https://rippex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/categories/200294024-Ripple-Wallet They also talk about setting a "regular key", personally I never used that, more confusing than anything, I just make sure my computer is secure. Be sure to always backup your secret key! Edited August 13, 2017 by namini
