I would ask him what he thinks would help Ripple/XRP. If Ripple's intended customers are banks only who prefer a closed network with a fresh and exclusively bank owned XRP, then why not thinking about going that way. Ripple might sell their platform to R3 (this is a now or never situation). One way to handle current XRP would be changing it for stakes in a fund that holds bank issued new XRP. So some people suspect that he is buying XRP at a lower price by doing it. If so, he is only prejudicing the value of Ripple. I'm not sure about that, though. rippleric Posted February 7, 2016 Share Posted February 7, 2016 They are slowing down distribution, I bet it will be even less next month, as far as I know there are no wallets selling XRP on a constant basis like we've seen over the past 2 years, but that could always change. Yeah, that's not unusual AFAIK. ~25000 ledgers/day and ~2500 XRP/day destroyed is around a tenth of an XRP destroyed per ledger.
