That's why nobody will bother to "refund" you unless you can prove on the court that they're liable despite their license terms stating otherwise. As I've pointed out, banks won't "bother" with Ripple, if that's how Ripple respond to actual customer losses which are directly attributable to bugs in Ripple code. Trust me. I work for one. So if that's Ripple's position, they can shout it loud and clear. Or alternatively, if they'd prefer, people like me will shout it for them. Make sure you keep this secret safe! sxxxxxxxxxxxx" ---> Jatchili: "What he said." The same reasoning can be used for lower layers: third-party library: "Hey, this is the result of some computation that I made". If banks had such extremely high standards, then they wouldn't use any third-party software or vendor.... But hey, they still use AWS, Apache Struts, PGP, closed source buggy hardware firmware on their routers, Microsoft Windows.....

T8493
@yellowsubmarine, what you don't get is that there are different levels of contractual requirements and business models. Do you want some guarantees? Well, you can have them, but you'll have to pay for them. Do you want some clauses regarding liability of developers? Well, you can have them, but you'll have to pay. DO you want software that is tested on all different platforms? Well, you can have it, but you'll have to pay.
