GateHub Issues

Has anyone else been having issues with GateHub today? I deposited BTC from Coinbase that was confirmed on the ledger 5+ hours ago that is still not showing up in my wallet. No updates on their website and no response from the help desk except for the autoresponse.

Besides the time it took to verify my account initially, I haven't had any issues with GateHub, but watching BTC/XRP creep down from when I bought in this morning has been brutal. My friend has been waiting 10 days for his account to be verified without any luck so far. Another issue I noticed when checking my latest bank statement is that I was charged a $15 foreign transaction fee by my large, US bank when purchasing BTC on Coinbase. That in itself isn't a GateHub issue, but indirectly it is, given the wire fees associated with directly transferring USD from the US to GateHub's Slovenian bank account.

I like the GateHub interface and the fact that I'm connected to the Ripple public ledger (no IOUs), but this poor experience today has me wondering if leaving gateway/wallet service up to third parties isn't a big risk for Ripple and uptake of XRP. The frustration of something as simple as getting XRPs into my account bodes poorly for a technology that touts speed, low cost, and ease of use as its differentiator. My assumption is that service will improve over time, but what if these third parties underinvest and ultimately stymie XRP's potential?

Wow seems I got lucky buying XRP with BTC this morning, I had it on Fifth though.

With regards to your friends approval, I uploaded forms but had to wait for weeks with no reply. Checked the forms and there was a discrepancy, reuploaded another one and got approved within 2 days... Not saying it's the same issue but he might want to double check.

Hi fellow members,

I recently purchased more xrp's but, Gatehub is holding onto money that hasn't been deposited into my wallet because apparently my brother-in-law can't make the deposit into my wallet.  I received an email from their support manager Klas Urekar and he was going to make a one time exception if I can explain to him the relationship of the person depositing the money into the account.  I did but, till this day no response.  It has been a week and it's quite a bit of hard earn money.  Any suggestions?  I submitted several gatehub support tickets, even went to twitter to connect with Klas but, still no response.  There is no direct number and I need that money into the wallet asap.  Any one experience similar problems?  Is gatehub trustworthy?  I am beginning to doubt their abilities and transparency.  Look either deposit the money or return to the sender either way, it's not their money to hold on to.  Let me know if you guys have any suggestions or solutions.  Thanks!

I posted this on a different subject board but, would like to know if there are any other better platforms then Gatehub or solutions?  I am looking to deactivate my account after this... this is total b.s.

@Mattie, how did you check the forms? I can't find where to check the status of my forms on Gatehub. Only the button to resubmit them. Thanks.

I should have been clearer, I didn't check the docs again... The address on the documents and the address I submitted for my account were different, so I just resubmitted new documents and got approved within days.

Thanks for the reply. Did your verification process ever show "denied"?  My status still shows "pending". It's been 8 days. I wonder if I should just give it a little more time?

I signed up to GH during the huge pump in crypto earlier this year, from what I can remember it took ages to get verified on certain exchanges (Kraken +2 months at the time, I gave up on Coinbase after waiting 3(!) months for transfer approval) with Gatehub it must've been pending for a couple of weeks, and when I was about to send an email to support I double checked my account and realized one of the forms had a mismatching address. I'm guessing here, but at the time I assumed that was the reason why it wasn't approved earlier.
