ColB
Has anyone solved the conundrum of having bought XRP at an exchange but then being unable to withdraw it to your own wallet because it doesn't yet have the minimum 25 XRP in it? I have been in this situation for weeks. The wallet supplier says get a friend to send you some but I have no crypto friends. I'm hoping someone can point me to such a person or facility in order to get me up and running?
Mercury
Depositing your XRP into a ripple wallet would activate it. The 20 needed to make the wallet active would simple be subtracted from the total.
ColB
Thank you for your response Mercury. I have several times attempted to do as you suggest: from Poloniex and from Gatehub but the transactions failed as my wallet is empty.

They don't trade the actual XRP on their internal ledgers, and their automated process may not know what to do when they get the not activated flag. Bithomp offers simple wallet activation https://bithomp.com/activation/. Depending on the exchanges you use some offer wallet activation or allow you to send small amount to activate wallets Warbler
ColB
Thank you Mercury, I shall be forever in your debt. In several weeks of searching, I didn't come across this forum or bithomp at all. Bithomp should be shouted from the rooftops! Thanks again, Colin Warbler
thruclarity
Hello, I tried Bithomp a few times, but it keeps replying with an error. Would anyone be willing to fund me an initial 50 Ripple and I'll repay with 100 Ripple once the wallet is active? Thank you in advance.
