Even when you use a temporary emails, the risks i said above are still there. They can log all info including browser version, IP, email, all (accidently) entered input. People who use the site are a good target so there is a risk for malware. If you enter a private email address then the risks are much bigger including targetted phishing / social enginering / malware attacks, and matching the email with leaked data so they maybe are able to login to your email, exchanges or other websites to further explore an attack. Of course they maybe are legit in whatever way, but here is your answer about what (theoretical) risks are involved. rootvegetable

vickyhunter
They are basically stealing your info for 30c. Idea is to hack the email and try to access your Gatehub account or they can quote your Ripple address with email and request support to gain access. Or something like that. Moreover, 1) They are using the Ripple logo - Infringement 2) The domain contains a trademark - Again Infringement Ripple will soon issue a Cease and Desist and the site will disappear with your info and maybe in some cases your zerps. Beware !!

Beware !! This website seems to do something similar - ripplefaucet.info They just award you with peanuts money in comparison to FreeRipple.com and that site also uses the Ripple logo (Infringement?! ) and they also request your Ripple address for you to make a withdrawal. So it's risky to use that site as well?! So would you say "Beware !!" of ripplefauct.info as well then?! In that case - good for you, but you're misleading others in my opinion. I think you guys are a little bit overreacting - nobody is trying to steal your info - they are giving away free Ripples, and as I said in my very first post - enjoy it whilst it lasts, if this site is under construction then I don't know when it would actually change this to something else. I've just received another 1 XRP - check pucksterpete's link he provided here, you will see the transaction I received for another 1 XRP. I am personally not worried about the fact people can watch my wallet or not using his link.

Just one page website using Ripple logo and their name without any disclaimer or terms and policies is enough to know the intention. Identity theft is serious. Enough said. winston
Just delete this topic and eliminate this kind of links. This is not worth the risk in any way, since a lot of zepers can lose more than a few grands for 0.3 dollar. Sharkey and vickyhunter

I honestly think they want to get popularity, this seems to be a new site that wants to become more popular. I have just quickly scanned the site after you guys worried me for a second, there is no risk shown in my Kaspersky software, it say it's 100% safe to use. So I don't think these guys want to hack into our wallets. I don't think that's the purpose of that site. Honestly in my opinion you guys are a little bit overreacting - not saying you don't need to be careful to submit your private key (!!!) - this should never be done anywhere! But submitting a temporary email like Yopmail or any other secondary email you have (or even your own primary one) + a wallet address seems to be fine for the giveaway, I don't see the need to scream out loud it's a hacking site. Anyway just had good intentions of sharing this with people, I know nothing in life is free on the one hand but sometimes new sites want to attract people genuinely - so whoever reads this - do what you feel like, I will bookmark the site to watch if it changes in a few month time, whether for good or bad. Also - will try tomorrow to ask for another 1 XRP using a different wallet and email and would keep you posted. You clearly have already decided that the potential of gaining a "free" coin currently worth $0.27 USD is worth even a minuscule risk of identify theft and endless hassles to regain whatever losses you incur as a result. It doesn't seem that the cumulative responses representing common sense safeguards will deter you, so good luck. vickyhunter

Yes, I have over $10k in my Ripple wallet and I don't mind giving it and sharing my wallet address to other people because they cannot do anything with the wallet address itself. I know how crucial that is to keep your wallet safe but living in paranoia is not the way to do it in my opinion. Can I ask you - are you 100% against "Faucet" websites? and I'm not referring to the "Peanuts" money you make out of it, I'm referring to those referral programs where you can refer many others and actually make a decent amount of $ per life from it - so as far as I understand you're 100% against it, correct? jumperabv3
The site looks so much better now. It seems to be a faucet with clean interface, some features are under construction if you try to reach them. Moderators - is it possible to delete this thread and create a new one? The first 2 pages of this thread have become irrelevant to what there is there now. Edited October 6, 2017 by jumperabv3

The main page says 1,580 XRP won by users, which is very realistic, where did you get the 10 trillion from?! Anyway due all this bad vibe, I asked the moderators already - can this thread get deleted & refreshed (posted as a new thread) with a new one? Mercury
Hello. While the previous posts may be outdated/ no longer relevant, they do contain comments and thoughts on the service and site that are of public interest. For that reason I won't delete it. What I can do is lock it so it can no longer be activily updated but remain visible
