merdianii
Im trying to exchange some of my Ripple worth of 1000$, but when I check the amount that I get is like 800$, Can anyone suggest me why I get this high cut off ? Have you had to pay 150$ or 200$ to exchange on Bitcoin?
T8493
Fees are usually not that large. It looks like this "fee" could be the consequence of illiquid markets. On which exchange are you trying to sell XRPs? On RCL? If on RCL - are you trying to buy Bitstamp BTC. GateHub BTC or something else? I'm on Poloniex and the fees are like 200$ even 220$. Tried paxful, and Kraken,

It looks like that on Poloniex XRP/BTC and XRP/USDT prices are consistent and that XRP/USDT prices on poloniex are similar to the XRP/USD prices on Bitstamp. You'll need to provide more details if you want any help. Fees certainly aren't $200: https://www.poloniex.com/fees/

But I have Ripple and when I want to sell for BTC it shows me that from 800$ that I have on Ripple on BTC I would get 600$. Others say that they pay like 5 or 10$ to exchange on BTC and I have to pay 120$ to convert on btc

This forum can't help you if you don't provide more details (how many XRPs are you selling, at what price, how many BTCs will you get, how did you recalculate values of XRPs and BTCs to USD, etc.)

On Poloniex the value of 5700 XRPs is currently less than $1600: 5700 x $0.275 = $1567.

If you want "real" prices, you should always look at prices at exchanges and not at some kind of price aggregator. merdianii
