yezu
Have any of you seen the "live" coverage from the event...? Looks like Marcus Treacher doesn't have to many possibilities to speak or doesn't seem to have to much of an influence on the discussion... Here is another guy saying the crypto-nonsense is over ;-) I mean where did he get it from? "Gerhard Kebbel from Helaba believe the application of blockchain technology in the payments space is akin to a fairy story, simply because of the computing power required to process high scale transactions "This idea that blockchain is going to replace the banks is over." Smyth thinks private networks in the corporate space might make for a better use case. IBM's Smyth describes blockchain as a "network sport"." ... and the link: https://www.finextra.com/newsarticle/30716/live-ebaday-2017-day-two Have to say - it's disappointing that they just do not get it. Elitefoo
I want to see Ripple and Swift go head to head in a debate in the near future. Would be bigger than Mayweather and McGregor in August

cannylad
On 1 January 1962, before they reached international stardom, the Beatles auditioned for Decca Records at Decca Studios in West Hampstead, north London. In what is considered one of the biggest mistakes in music industry history, Deccarejected the band, selecting instead Brian Poole and the Tremeloes. Seems like there is going to be some big regrets from the Helaba camp BBS, yezu and SimpleLife

Kind of like a carriage that moves without the aid of horses... So, in other words, Helaba doesn't have a product that can compete, so they're trying to buy themselves some time..
