If someone interested: I've just created address+secret generator :) To show how easy is to get new ripple wallet without registration on gateways web sites.

http://bithomp.com/create/

To make it show up in the net, need to fill it in within at least 20 XRP (for now)

That's cool.

Fun to experiment with but without an encrypted website I probably shouldn't put a heap of ripple in my new wallet, yeah?

Poloniex is fine... But as others said already, this a bet, not an investment. Are you really ready to bet your 5000$ savings on the horse N°7 ?

I said I have $5,000 "under my bed" from saved up allowances my parents have been giving me.  I never said I wanted to buy $5,000 worth of coins, maybe 1 to 2 thousand sounds more realistically, I would like to have at least 300,000 xrp in case if this takes up ground that I dont end up missing the boat as I did with bitcoin and litecoin.

Bitcoin started in 2009 and I think it was valued like in $0.0047 at that point, three years later in 2012 Bitcoin was probably worth around $12 and present its worth over $440
Ripple's xrp is in year 2012 in relation to bitcoin development so this means that xrp's value can increase 36 times as much of its current value 3 years later, making its price $0.0062 * 0.2232 and if I can get 300,000 xrp that would make it worth $66960 a far cry to millionaire status but a sure of a hell of a return on investment from an initial $2k.

I still would like to know how much eth can I mine using one AMD HD 7990 gpu card and how much xrp's can I get out of the eth after a solid 24H mining period.

Easiest way for you is to buy bitcoin on localbitcoin, send it to poloniex, convert to xrp , send to your wallet.

Even with the new AMD R9 GPU u would only mine 30 ETH / month which is around 30 USD. Mining is just not profitable if u don't do it professionally. I would encourage u to buy a few XRP. I feel like it's the best bet if u wanna bet on crypto tokens and think they have a use case. The good thing about being young is that u can do such bets and speculations without worrying too much... ;)

With localbitcoin.com I see I can buy bitcoins with cash at least on a rippier off price but after getting the bitcoins how do I exchange it to xrp without any verification and no, dont say cryptsy because I dont have any plans of loosing my coins to them not being able to withdraw them later on, I did my research on them and too many people are complaining that they can withdraw their coins from crypscam oops I meant cryptsy.  So this leaves with the the following plausible choices:
1. Bitstamp.  They require verification based on what I read on their website, I dont know if they will allow me to deposit btc and then withdraw to my ripple wallet of choice without verifying but it would be good if someone can confirm this for me before I risk my hard earned money.

2. Kraken.  They support btc, xrp, str now what do they call them now? oh yeah looooomens, and many others but sadly they too require verification.

3.  Coinbase? you can't do anything there without verifying, probably one of the most difficult to be fully verified

any options?  Serious e-currency exchangers/brokers that doesn't require verification, or at least very basic verification of ID only and that they dont mind me being 17 years old?

What's the problem with verification?

Real worlds still turn on fiat money and I bet it will continue that way. At least for a very long time.

When buying crypto is difficult without verification, what do you think how hard it will be to sell off crypto for money that you can use in the real world? A lot of those "unofficial" gateways are eager to receive your USD or EUR for crypto, but do you think they will be happy when you want to resell them your crypto for USD again???

Without verification you're just nobody to them and a nobody can't receive USD you know...

Why you can't open an account at bitstamp? What's the problem with verification? You don't need a bank account if you want to open an account at bitstamp.

EDIT: Ok, I see. Minors can't open an account at Bitstamp at all.

Good luck in college.  Remember that you get the same piece of paper for a C as you do for an A... and if you understand this route you will be better off in the real business world ;) Give what your time is worth but don't ever fail.
