Awilda Jefferson
Hi, I am a High School graduate and will be starting college next semester in January to study law so wish me good luck guys! Thanks for my free time ever since I graduated from High School on past July I have had enough time to do online research on now to make spare money and that's where I heard about Bitcoin and Ripple for the first time in my life and I kick my self for not having heard about it a few years ago. I quickly tried to get into mining Bitcoins, I setup my mining "gear" consisting of four AMD HD 7990 and a program called CGMINER I was able to get it working, but sadly I was only able to mine just a few satoshis, then tried to mine Litecoins at a rate of 4,000 mhash a second and was still doing peanuts. Mind yall, that's before I found out about the existence of the so called "asic"s and after researching them I quickly came to terms why my mining performance was horrible, it looks I was reading a guide written back in year 2011 and I quickly resolved into thinking that in bircoin world everything was static and nothing changed, same protocol, same speeds, same everything that if you were doing well in 2011 with only 4 GPU's that I was going to do well with my 4 GPU's in late 2015! Boy should I have done more research instead of printing that old guide and just going by it alone. Anyways, I find comfort to inform yall that I have successfully sold these GPU's on auctions except the last one, I kept it to upgrade my computer's gaming capability, and my brother who is very good with computers installed it for me along with upgrading the power supply unit for a gibber one and a few more things, but overall I am really happy. So thats how I came to learn about ripple, I realize after hours and days of research and "lurking" here that ripple has a coin called xrp that is not mineable and its a fixed supply set at 99,999,999,999 for which a good 30 or something billion has been in circulation and the rest not yet. So this is my long story on how I came to know about ripple, I hope one day to be able to buy ripples on my own, but right now I am only 17 years old I can't legally open my own bank account even if I have over $5,500 under my bed and my parents doesn't want to have any dealings with either Bitcoin, xrp, ltc this or that for them they ignorantly consider it to be tokens that people use to buy drugs, on puhlease! For the love of God I can't seem to convince my parents to open up an account on Bitstamp (and validate it - thats nother can of worms!) so that I can exchange to iou's and finally get lots of XRP's before the rumor that xrp is going to take off in 2016 occurs and I happen to be left out! and I have enough cash with me to buy myself over 500,000 XRP's comfortably but with no way of being able to do so. So here is my wallet that needs activation: rJWUpAAGGbCRGadeUmDehnThPP86iaz8DN

Guest jarvis
why dont you mine ethercoin then convert them over to xrp?
Shiro
I know there are places where you can buy btc without verification. If so, aren't there places where you can trade btc for xrp without verification? But you still have to wait to open a bank account and then verification isn't a problem... So my only advice is to try to convince your parents, show them the partnerships Ripple currently has and the potential amount of profit you could make. Also, only invest what you can lose. As my understanding is that going to college in the US costs a small fortune, I wouldn't personally invest over 5000... But then again I don't know your financial situation so maybe that's not a problem.
Guest Haydentiff
Welcome to the forum, Awilda. My motherly instincts are kicking in and I want to tell you that purchasing cryptocurrency is not investing, it's gambling. Why are you choosing to study law? There was a long stretch where law students were graduating with six figure student loan debt and having to take $10/h paralegal positions because there wasn't a need for more attorney's. Maybe the situation has improved, I don't know. But if you have such a strong interest in Bitcoin and Ripple, why not go into a related field? Should be possible to buy bitcoins locally with the help from localbitcoins.com. plenty of people around us sell them for cash ) Also ATM are exist to buy BTC, not sure how many in USA, but in Europe I saw few without searching for them. Buy BTC with cash, change to XRP. No verification in this case.

With localbitcoin.com I see I can buy bitcoins with cash at least on a rippier off price but after getting the bitcoins how do I exchange it to xrp without any verification and no, dont say cryptsy because I dont have any plans of loosing my coins to them not being able to withdraw them later on, I did my research on them and too many people are complaining that they can withdraw their coins from crypscam oops I meant cryptsy. So this leaves with the the following plausible choices: 1. Bitstamp. They require verification based on what I read on their website, I dont know if they will allow me to deposit btc and then withdraw to my ripple wallet of choice without verifying but it would be good if someone can confirm this for me before I risk my hard earned money. 2. Kraken. They support btc, xrp, str now what do they call them now? oh yeah looooomens, and many others but sadly they too require verification. 3. Coinbase? you can't do anything there without verifying, probably one of the most difficult to be fully verified any options? Serious e-currency exchangers/brokers that doesn't require verification, or at least very basic verification of ID only and that they dont mind me being 17 years old? I will need you to help me on a few things: 1. since I sold most of my HD 7990's but did kept one for gaming purposes, that 7990 will do about1,000 kilo hash per second when mining Litecoins, can you calculate what hashing speeds will this do for mining eth? 2. what mining program do I need in order go mine eth? 3. approximately how many eth will I mine within a 24 hour period at current difficulty and how much that mined eth within a period of 24 hours would allow me to exchange to xrp, how much xrp would that be? 4. another calculation, approximately mining eth for a period of 24 hours how much would these mined eth be valued in terms of US dollars? many thanks for your help! Till recently it was btc2ripple.com, but now its dangerous to work with US residents. So they do not provide the service for US customers. "We do not serve USA customers. If you are a US resident, please look for another gateway" To survive Bluzelle also closed service for US customers, as many other companies. As E-gold, LibertyReserve and many others were already frozen by US, just because they had customers from US, now PerfectMoney and others also don't want to deal with US customers. US can't stop bitcoin, but they can easily force your hosting to close your exchange service. But there is unofficial p2p exchanges. Even if you ask someone on forum to change BTC 2 XRP, it want be a problem. As BTC and XRP can be completely anonymous, if you not share your wallet address and your name in same time somewhere in the net. XRP can be changed to BTC, again with a help of forums or private exchanges or small site changers, who don't have yet pressure from US . Then on localbitcoins you can change BTC to cash or western union or smth else.
Guest Haydentiff
Quote With localbitcoin.com I see I can buy bitcoins with cash Please be careful. I've referred people to localbitcoins many times, but you make me nervous. I don't know why. Quote As BTC and XRP can be completely anonymous Not really. More like pseudonymous. Quote how do I exchange it to xrp without any verification Shapeshift.io You don't even have to create an account. Quote I wish someone would have said something similar to me. I started college in 2007 and bitcoin was released in 2009. If only it was few years earlier. I'm saying it to you now. You've got your whole life ahead of you. There are free classes online for just about EVERYTHING. Regardless of when Bitcoin was released, it's still in its infancy. Go learn something and be awesome. Warbler
If someone interested: I've just created address+secret generator To show how easy is to get new ripple wallet without registration on gateways web sites. http://bithomp.com/create/ To make it show up in the net, need to fill it in within at least 20 XRP (for now) Edited December 21, 2015 by Warbler
