bd307
Newbie here and read the tutorials on forums, however, none of them shows how to exchange BTC to XRP on Gatehub. I had some BTC from coinbase and transferred them to my Gatehub's hosted wallet. The transfer was smooth and wallet on Gatehub shows the BTC. However, I do not know how to use the BTC in the hosted wallet and purchase XRP. Been trying to transfer the BTC in the hosted wallet to the Ripple Wallet, but been getting the Error "Wallet Not Found on Vault". Is this because of the gateway connects to Gatehub is still pending for approval? TIA
bd307
After some more reading, I found that Gatehub would actually fund the 20 xrp needed to activate my account. However, it seems like I need to make a request here if their system does not automatically grant me the 20 xrp to operate. Please advise.
T8493
No, your request here won't give you 20 XRPs automatically. I think GateHub needs to verify your account first (maybe just by verifying your phone number) and then they'll give you 20 XRP that are needed for activation. bd307
Thank you for the reply. My number was verified, but I have yet received the 20 xrp for 2 days now. I just sent an email to their support for the question.
cryptomylife
mine also cannot change from btc to xrp only xrp to btc?
bd307
Got it figured. Instead of waiting for Gatehub to fund me the 20 xrp, I went ahead and used bithomp service to get those 20 xrp. Not cheap, but much more convenient. Warbler

There is an icon with arrows between the two currencies. Click to reverse the currencies for exchange.
Lildanda
I to was having trouble here. I had sent xx amount of BTC to gatehub, i kept getting emails asking to set trust line so my account could be credited with my BTC. I could not set the trust line up, turned out I had to 1; set gateways for all currencies 2; after still having issues setting trust lines I emailed support stating the problem and to my amazement within a few days I had 20 XRP in my account then a few more days my BTC appeared. Hope this helps others & that like me you are successful as well
stargun88
How long it took to get your 20 xrp funded by gatehub? I'm in the same situation and I'm quite desperate...
Viper821
@stargun88 It took forever (started 12/20/2017) for Gatehub to activate my account and this was after I activated my trust lines. Part of the problem is they're slammed with new accounts, but also I think they underestimated themselves, same for Kraken and Bitstamp. As of right now, the only exchange that seems ready was Binance. I was able to get my account created and funded within 24 hours. I'm still waiting for 12/18/2017 Kraken and 12/20/17 Bitstamp. letmewinpls
Does Kraken and Bitstamp also credit you 20 XRP each?
