Lumos92
My Story: 1. Dont own any XRP, so looking for XRP exchange & wallet - found Gatehub. 2. Needed funds in Gatehub, but couldnt send to Ripple Wallet because it needed XRP to activate. WTF. 3. So I created hosted wallet and deposited substantial Bitcoin intending to convert to XRP. (oops) 4. BTC credited - YAY! But cannot exchange because wallet not activated - no XRP. 5. Decide that there are way too many technical frustrations in the way. Decide to abandon Gatehub. 6. Attempt to transfer all BTC out of Gatehub altogether - BUT CANT because I dont have the 0.00015 XRP in my hosted wallet to cover the Ripple Network Fee. 7. Convert some ETH to XRP via Changelly and send to Hosted Wallet - Changelly confirms transaction complete, BUT doesnt reflect on Gatehub side. 8. Numerous support tickets, tweets, emails etc, Gatehub finally respond to a comment on their latest Facebook post. 9. They immediately credit my Ripple Wallet with 20 XRP. Note - the RIPPLE WALLET - NOT THE HOSTED WALLET CONTAINING THE BTC! 10. So I STILL cant transfer my BTC out of the Hosted Wallet, my ETH has magically disappeared, and Im sitting with 20 XRP in a wallet that I cannot use.10 Can someone please tell me wtf I am supposed to do in this situation!? I want OUT of Gatehub, but their support is useless, to be frank.

But one thing that might help you, these various wallets you are using can probably share the same key. You seem to be creating a new key with every wallet you are using. You could do that but you would have to fund each wallet

And when I try to move all the BTC out of the Hosted wallet I receive a message saying there is insufficient funds. At this point all I want to do is move everything I have in Gatehub out, but support cant give me an answer.

What is the public address for the gatehub account? If that account did not receive xrp then changelly has your xrp. Then regardless which account they send it to you'd have enough xrp to fund both wallets. Keep in mind every time you fund a ripple wallet a number of reserve xrp are locked in indefinitely. I'm guessing you have a cold storage "ripple wallet" of some sort and a gatehub account. There's nothing wrong with having two accounts. One for trading and one for cold storage.
