Guest
We have launched Quantum on GateHub Fifth to provide better liquidity on the ripple network. Woestekip
Gatehub will be better and better!!! THANKS!! Kind Regards, YOUR BIGGEST GATEHUB FAN!! xh3b4sd
cap
Quote Quantum on GateHub Fifth to provide better liquidity on the ripple network. Can you explain how you decide which coins you add? My guess is if you asked Gatehub users which coins they wish you'd add, Quantum wouldn't make the top 10. xh3b4sd
Guest
never heard of it... seems kinda random but... ok whatever another useless token EDIT: ok read a bit more about it, and while i remain highly dubious, it might have some potential positive for the gatehub/rcl ecosystem, and if so i welcome it Edited June 12, 2017 by Guest
xh3b4sd
I like the idea of providing liquidity to the crypto market in general and thus to RCL. I only fail to understand how this works. Checking the info graphic on the website looks like people basically pay money to destroy the token to generate liquidity for the market. So what has the user from it? It is nice that the token has a value increase of 500% since inception but how sustainable is the ecosystem that way?
xh3b4sd
I would also like to know if the real token is provided or just an IOU. I think it is an IOU because quantum is issued on the Ethereum blockchain. So whom do I have to trust? Gatehub that it trusts Ethereum? That sounds like a bad deal to me in the first place. Seems very random. Perhaps a sweetheart of a deal for Gatehub in some way... but not sure why many users would be excited about it.

When I see this right the purpose is to provide liquidity to the market, which is a nice move to improve XRP. I only fail to see how this should work out as a concept in general. See my questions above.
Guest
The main point of listing Quantum for our users is perhaps not the token itself, but our partnership with Quantum Project. Through the partnership, we list QAU and Quantum project provides deeper liquidity on our markets via market making, which is their core business. Quantum project will place part of their funds as liquidity on GateHub markets.

QAU is an ethereum ERC20 token and we have listed its IOU like we have done with REP. 9 hours ago, toobhunter said: @gregor @enej can you please explain rationale for adding this particular coin over other, more well knows coins? We have build a partnership with Quantum project and knowing the team we have the needed trust in the project itself. The biggest advantage for GateHub going in this project is better liquidity and not necessary token itself.

But on a more serious note: 1 hour ago, gregor said: We have build a partnership with Quantum project and knowing the team we have the needed trust in the project itself. Nice to hear you trust the team, but how should we as outsiders assess this? I see the potential re liquidity on GateHub, which is great. But why should the token itself, that you have now listed, be interesting if we are not even able to see who or what is behind it? This is the info that is available on the team on their own website: Nothing but an address on the Virgin Islands... However you can check a lot of talk about the project on the bitcointalk.
Perditious
If you want to improve liquidity at Gatehub it would really help to process BTC/ETH deposits faster. Right now I have 6 confirmations on one BTC deposit and 4 confirmations on another, but still nothing in my wallet. Yesterday it took over an hour to deposit ETH (sure the network was clogged, but other exchanges had no problem confirming deposits in a few minutes). Edit: Talked to support and they had some delays in processing bitcoin transactions, but they are working on it. Love the quick support, at other exchanges you usually have to wait days or weeks for a reply. Edited June 13, 2017 by Perditious Talked to support. With all new people we are hiring we will improve the experience. Edited June 13, 2017 by Guest
