thecentennial
I bought a few XRP a while ago and had them in my ripple wallet. I forgot about them until a couple of weeks ago, followed the instructions to recover my secret key (I could not find it), opened a gatehub account, submitted my KYC. I have emailed ripple support 7 times to follow up on the secret key recovery process and have not received a single response. How long does this take? Look, there aren't a lot of XRP in my account but hell, they're mine. Is there anyone on here that can help me with this? Much appreciated. namini
Why would you email Ripple 7 times? The only way to migrate your old wallet from Rippletrade and if you have lost your secret key is by using your old login / password from Rippletrade on Gatehub. On Gatehub website, "Wallet" page, click on "+" at the top of the page and then select "Rippletrade". If it doesn't work you probably didn't save the correct info or it wasn't a Rippletrade wallet. This is wrong. Gatehub and RippleTrade are different services which DO NOT share accounts. You have to register with gatehub and migrate your wallet with the secret key. If you don't have it, it's lost. 2 hours ago, thecentennial said: followed the instructions to recover my secret key (I could not find it), You cannot recover it anymore without your secret key. (Gatehub doesn't know it either if you didn't migrate) The migration via the account on ripple trade has ended last year. Ripple trade no longer works. namini
@NanamiIsLove You're wrong, yes you have to register on Gatehub but then you can import an old Rippletrade wallet on Gatehub with secret key OR the old login / password. Mercury
thecentennial
There is a link on ripple that allows you to retrieve the secret key. https://id.ripple.com/auth/migrate I followed the instructions and was "told" (on screen) I would be verified and provided with details to obtain the secret key. Just following guidance. I am emailing ripple support (7 times) as this is a service offered by ripple, and I need support. Am I doing this incorrectly? I apologize cause I'm not 100% sure, but I've read somewhere this method through RippleTrade doesn't work anymore.... Could be that I'm completely wrong. I'll try to find it, hold on. Edited June 7, 2017 by NanamiIsLove I was wrong! It appears to be working. My bad.
