GateHub and Bittrex. Broken 2FA Device. Any similar experiences?

Hello,

I am aware that this is not the GateHub / Bittrex support, but I would like to see if someone else has had a similar problem:

I have 2FA activated on both Bittrex and GateHub, but my device has broken. I am already trying to fix the screen, which seems being the problem, if so, I will have access soon to my Google Authenticator App.

I have been told that the right thing to do in this cases, is to open a Support Ticket to Bittrex/GateHub... and wait for their answer, provide documentation and wait for them to remove the 2FA. But, how long does it take? Bittrex had replyied me, sent them the documents, but haven't answered back (4 days). On the other side, I send a email to GateHub one week ago, and haven't replyied yet... so I am a bit concerned right now.

And yes, I know from now on I must write down somewhere the backup codes, it was a silly mistake not to do it.

I have around 25000 xrp splited into both platforms and I would really like to hear some similar experiences, if you have had them, and how did you manage to fix them.

Thank you guys!

If it hasn't been submerged and it is a cell phone or ipad you should be fine, they ate fairly easy to fix.  I don't know if you can get in another way..l haven't tried it myself.  I personally live in fear of loosing my cell which has my authentication stuff on it.  I may even upgrade to an iPhone 7 and just use my current one for authentication.  I do have all my secret keys stored though.  Not sure if the keep trust if you revive them that wau.

I hope it's just the screen...

There's the way: submitting a support ticket to Bittrex/GateHub but it takes forever. I have been waiting for one week now, and nothing.. they don't have a contact number or anything similar so it's complicated.

Anyone else has had problems like this?

Hi @Ryder. I've learned the hard way how to handle this as I had the same problem twice with GateHub. Suffice it to say they have a process that takes some time, but will give you access back to your account. I can't give you first hand experience with Bittrex but I would expect the same. It sounds like you only emailed GateHub. I would also put a ticket in at their new support page: https://support.gatehub.net/hc/en-us/requests/new. Also, @enej is good about expediting issues that arise on the forum. You might want to PM him your email address and an explanation of your situation.

Most importantly, to prevent this in the future you should back up your 2FA code that will be used to re-setup 2FA. When you scan the QR code, print that page or save an image of it to a thumb drive and save it in a safe location.

Thanks a lot for you answer. I could reset my 2FA for Bittrex finally. I have send an email to GateHub both via email and the new support area. I will send the PM also, thank you for the advice.
