LOST MONEY ALMOST HALF OF XRP

I used the Trade page to exchange ETH and BTC for XRP. For example: before the transfer, my wallet showed 2300 XRP. After the trade, my wallet only showed 1400 XRP. 1400 XRP is $200. I spent $500. I am very baffled.

1400 XRP are ~420 Bitstamp USD. Which USD did you trade in?

I used Gatehub.

Gatehub is just a user interface (to simplify). But you can trade any IOUs.

Did you trade Gatehub USD? If yes it's around 430 USD. So close to the 500 mentioned.

I used coinbase USD to buy ETH and BTC. I then sent it to Gatehub. In Gatehub, I Traded ETH and BTC for XRP. Prior to the trade, my wallet showed total 2300 XRP. After the trade, my wallet showed 1400 XRP. I wanted to use the Exchange page, but it didn't work.

Did I do something wrong during the trade?

Oh no wait, that might be a recent "bug" in the display only. The data servers are having some problems, so it might be only the visualization of the total equivalent. No risk of funds lost.

I hope that's the case.

So let's say I have 1500 XRP. Do I multiply 1500 XRP by $0.33 XRP to get USD? 1500 * 0.33 = $495. Is this how to calculate the worth of XRP to Dollar?

Yes exactly. Gatehub uses one of the APIs provided by Ripple to get the current prices (for example XRP:USD.gatehub, XRP:BTC.bitstamp,...). Then based on the currency you selected to show the total, it is just a multiplication of your funds time the price.
