Gatehub Issues

As much as I'd like to continue using Gatehub (since it was recommended by Ripple) I can no longer do so.  The volume is so low its nearly impossible to trade.  Spreads are way too wide.

In addition, its surprising to see slowness / downtime as often as I do since there is such light volume.

I'd love to hear from Gatehub about this and happy to offer suggestions, but I can't continue using as of now.

@toobhunter thanks for the post. A number of members have been reporting similar complaints, so you are not alone. There has been little to no communication from GateHub on the matters of slowness / downtime.

This is has been unacceptable in too many ways.

It's because they're structured like an actual exchange.  The RippleTrade client from before was mostly front-end (connected directly to Ripple itself only and not someone's server), so it wouldn't matter how many people were on the site.  You're better off using one of the wallets, cold or hosted, on the links tab.  You can still access Gatehub's liquidity but also have access to everyone else's w/o having worry about any site being overloaded.

@toobhunter I have the same feelings but still stay at Gatehub. Because i like it and feels much more trustable than the most others. I also think it is a kind of future ''exchange'' because you can trade all RCL markets for example Bitstamp and there is a high volume if you need it.

XRP and Gatehub is growing so fast and i really think they work hard to improove. Also the volume is rising fast.

It's about time and i give Gatehub some :)

It was not officially recommended by Ripple. They helped to facilitate the migration though. I think it's fair to vote with your feet but I also think that a small exchange like this with a personal relationship to Ripple is much more incentivized to address the concerns of customers. They're going through an unexpected growth phase right now and are a very small outfit. Given the light trading I'm sure they don't have the capital on hand to hire and scale rapidly so these are growing pains. Again, it's fair to vote with your feet if you cannot conduct the business you want to conduct on their platform at this time, I just want to point out that they are likely working as hard as possible to address all of the issues. I really hope that once stabilized Ripple runs a market maker campaign on gatehub to improve the liquidity.
