Cannot set Trust, Cannot Trade, Cannot Exchange, etc

Hello,

I have a gatehub wallet and would like to trade/exchange my XRP. I have tried countless times to enable the Gatehub Fifth so I can buy another currency, but receive an error with no explanation every time. Similarly when I try to Trade/Exchange my XRP I receive an error "Error: Invalid Secret".  What am I doing wrong, or what step have I missed in order to enable trading via Gatehub?

Dan

Could you elaborate on "put the right secret"?

So you have to explain me a bit more.

Did you create a gatehub account?

How many wallets do you have there?

Did you "import" any wallet?

Is the problem from the Ripple wallet created by gatehub?

I apologize, I understand this is not Gatehub support. This is just the only place where people can find answers, so thank you for your patients.

I created a Gatehub wallet to hold XRP since I had to move it off an exchange due state regulations. My Gatehub wallet successfully received the XRP, so now I have a gatehub wallet and XRP. Now, I want to trade/exchange the XRP, so I enabled the "Fifth Gateway", head over to Exchange and input my order, click confirm and get the error.

Now when I enabled the Fifth Gateway it said it was successful and the gateway would let me know when my account was verified by the gateway. Could my error be due to my account not being verified by gateway at this point in time? How many days does it take to get verified by a gateway? If its been weeks should I be concerned?

Again, sorry for my ignorance and thank you for the help.

When you open that wallet, in some options (I don't remember precisely where) you sould be able to retrieve the secret key (starting with s). Did you save that string when you created the wallet? Are you able to retrieve it now? If yes (DON'T WRITE IT HERE OR IN PUBLIC PLACES!) then probably it's a getehub error and you need to ask to the support.

If you don't see the secret key probably something happened, but if you wrote down the secret you should be ok.

Yes, I have the secret, and I can view it in the "Advanced" wallet UI. The non-Advanced wallet page shows all of the Gateways as disabled, and when I click "Enable" I get the "Unknown Error", but when I inspect the JS console its the same "Invalid Secret" type error.

{

engine_result:"tejSecretInvalid"

engine_result_message:"Invalid secret"

message:"Invalid secret"

result:"tejSecretInvalid"

result_message:"Invalid secret"

}

If you have the secret you can try to create a new wallet "importing" it, that is writing the secret key....maybe that helps as workaround, but write to the support to report the bug.
