Bradleygt Posted May 7, 2017 Share Posted May 7, 2017 Hello all, I'm trying to set-up my Gatehub wallet but I can't get past step 1 lol. I tried entering my phone # in every way I could think of, but it just keeps saying "couldn't save phone number", and "please use a cell phone number that can receive sms messages from abroad". Bradleygt Posted May 7, 2017 Author Share Posted May 7, 2017 ya have the correct country, pretty sure the format is correct as well, cuz i tried it like every way possible, but, better yet, when i went back to previous page and then back to the phone number entry page my phone number was still in the entry field and was oriented in a way i had not yet tried, area code in parenthesis, then a space, then my phone number. i tried putting a 1 in front of that but that didn't work either. Bradleygt Posted May 8, 2017 Author Share Posted May 8, 2017 ok so ive made it past the phone number situation. the solution was adding my phone as device that could access gatehub. Gatehub knew my computer, as that was where i was setting this wallet up, but i had to access gatehub from my phone and then it was like....ok cool...so that's your phone...u may pass now. But now im at like the last screen b4 my **** is all the way set up...its asking me to Select Currency... and it lists various options such as...USD...XRP...EUR...ETH..REP...XAU... etc etc...What should i select? im in the U.S. so maybe that.. or maybe XRP....or BTC ? I'm not sure. How to decide? At first I though USD duh! But then i was like wait...im not linking my bank account...at least i didnt think so. I normally use Coinbase for stuff like that. I was just looking for a wallet for my XRP. Apparently i can store other stuff in this wallet too? Anyways, what's the best choice here? namini Posted May 8, 2017 Share Posted May 8, 2017 Yes you can connect "trust lines", for example a btc trustline that will generate a btc wallet and then you can send btc from Coinbase to Gatehub. Btc deposit seems a little slow lately, you can also use a service like Shapeshift or any exchange like Polo, convert your btc to XRP and then send XRP to your Gatehub Ripple wallet (start with a r...)
