Remarks by FINTRAC’s Director and Chief Executive Officer

The Director and CEO of FINTRAC, Sarah Paquet, was pleased to share her vision for the modernization of FINTRAC at ACAMS’s The Assembly Canada conference this morning.

FINTRAC in Real-Time will see the Centre leap ahead from a technical, process and culture perspective in order to stay ahead of the bad actors, find new and meaningful ways to collaborate with partners and continue to deliver value and results in an ever-changing world.

In her remarks, FINTRAC’s Director also reminded businesses of the moral and social imperative to help combat money laundering and terrorist financing, and pointed out where some are falling short.
