video27
While attempting to move my XRP from coinbase to a newly created XUMM account, It required me to open a 3rd party xapp to validate the account by sending 22 XRP using Topper. I did the required steps and validated my account and saw the 22 XRP leave my Coinbase acct and added to my XRP. The issue arises when I tried to move the rest of my XRP. On the confirmation screen of the prior trade, I unknowing copy and pasted an address which I had assumed was my XUMM address. At this point, I do not wnow what that address was, however it was from my prior trade so It wasnt from a scammer. I can research the trade by using just very limited knowledge and I see the trade went through. I tried to contact Coinbase support and they dont know where it was sent. Ive also contacted XUMM and Topper support and no one seems to be able to help me. Im not sure if pasting the destination address here is a good idea but if anyone can odder some help/advise, I'd be greatly appreciative and even willing to pay a small fee for help. Thanks. at3n
You'll probably need to give the destination address if we can be of any help. If it was sent from Coinbase exchange then it won't expose your account as it would have come from a shared address. Having said that, it's unlikely that we'll be able to help you recover the XRP, but maybe can work out what the account is and where it came from? If you'd rather send a private message with the address, let me know and I'll message you. Your account is new so probably can't initiate a private conversation. video27 and PlanK

Thanks. Just to add to what At3n said…. (s)he has helped many people here so in my opinion is worth trusting at least to the extent of the public address. I’d recommend a personal message to her/him rather than a public post. I realise you don’t know him or me but you can look at his profile and see the type of posts (s)he makes…. one of the good guys. Actually I have a vague memory that you’ve told me that before. Sorry miss. 7 hours ago, video27 said: guess since I am new to this board, it is not allowing me to send messages yet. sorry…. I should have remembered you just need to post a couple of times to get permission. No problem having the address revealed apart from a small amount of loss of anonymity. Avoided if possible but no harm really. I’m not much use to you because I don’t know a lot but I can see that you somehow picked an address that is valid to send to. It wasn’t in use before. So the chances of randomly having a valid address to paste are nearly nil. So it came from somewhere. I dont know what Topper is but I would be looking there. BillyOckham
After a bit of a look I can see it’s been integrated into XUMM and mentioned as an enabling on-ramp for fiat. I suggest trying XUMM support a bit more. They are good guys and would help if they can. Maybe ask them what ways a valid XRP address string can appear in the process…. and whether that account is accessible by you. I can’t see how…. but I’m not technical enough or familiar with those products enough.
at3n
Sorry for the late reply, I can't see anything useful about that account I'm afraid, as Billy said, it was unused until you activated it, and I don't believe it was previously activated and deleted either. Do you still have access to the place that you copied the r9SpXvpxvuyKxHmWVmpWJxWBmphGDDvPrH address from in the first place? Maybe a list of past transactions on Topper? video27
No unfortunately, after I made the initial transaction of 22 XRP to activate my XUMM account through Topper, I copied and pasted that new hash. I thought I was copying my XUMM address but now see it was something new that was created. I have been trying to work with XUMM and Topper but still no luck. Do you think if the transaction sits in limbo for 30 days, it might be automatically send back? Im not really sure even what to say to XUMM anymore. How does a new address appear in a transaction, it has to be generated from somewhere? It was not from a stranger, it was right in the app. Just a simple cut and paste. And thanks again for looking at this.
at3n
The address you copied, can you remember was it copied from a Topper web page immediately after the topup, or the actual XUMM app? I don't suppose you have a copy of the actual Transaction hash that you copied r9SpXvpxvuyKxHmWVmpWJxWBmphGDDvPrH out of? If you look now at the transaction that actually topped up your XUMM wallet with 22 XRP, does it contain any reference to r9SpXvpxvuyKxHmWVmpWJxWBmphGDDvPrH? Unfortunately from the XRP Ledger's point of view, the transaction isn't in Limbo, it was completed successfully, so it will not reverse.
