Guest15623
Dear Community, I have an XRP account that I generated using the Ian Coleman BIP39 tool (https://iancoleman.io/bip39/). This tool generates a private key and public address, but it does NOT generate the secret key that seems to be unique to Ripple. I sent some XRP to that address a while ago. Now I'm trying to access those funds. I've tried out so many different software wallets, but most of them ask for the mnemonic phrase or the secret key. I've found only one wallet (Guarda) that accepts the private key. Guarda does unlock my account, so I know that the BIP39 private key can be used to generate the correct public address. But the problem is that I keep getting "Failed send tx" message whenever I try to send XRP using Guarda. I've tried Guarda in two different browsers and the desktop version, and I get the same error message in all cases. I've tried sending various amount of XRp, including 0.1, 10, and 20 XRP. I found two Reddit threads about this error message, but I still haven't been able to solve my problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/GuardaWallet/comments/ld3uui/failed_send_tx_what_went_wrong/ https://www.reddit.com/r/GuardaWallet/comments/nmxota/failed_send_tx/ I'm just trying to find a way to access my funds using the private key (NOT secret key) and send them to a different address. The other wallets that I've tried so far include Atomic, Gatehub, Exodus, Trust, SafeHold, and Coinomi. I'm not really sure what else to try at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Or maybe there is a way to generate the secret key from the private key? I'd also be open to any solutions where I could use the 24-word mnemonic + passphrase to generate the secret key IF it can be done entirely offline. For security reasons, I do not want to enter this particular mnemonic onto any device that is connected to the internet. Thank you!

Should be the same type of solution: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404388633489-Export-your-accounts?docs=true
at3n
I believe you can use Xumm to import a private key, see this post: https://www.xrpchat.com/topic/36597-xumm-import-an-xrp-ledger-account-using-the-account-secret-key/?do=findComment&comment=900183 Triceratops and jn_r

I don't have a Ledger so I'm not able to test this out.

Thanks! To summarize, I downloaded XUMM to my Android phone and then entered my private key--prefixed with 00--as a secret key. From there, I was able to access the wallet address and move the funds. Problem solved! jn_r, at3n and JASCoder
