Tysonfinnegan
Hi, Hoping someone can help me out. I used a MEW ethereum address (created from ios APP on phone) for the songbird/flare snapshot and I can see on XRP Scan the tokens I received however, my SGB tokens are not showing on my Metamask account (This is because the ethereum address on MM is not the one the SGB were sent to but it matches the addresses for ETH & SGB on my Nano.) My question is how do I change the address on Metamask to reflect my songbird holding or do I need to send the songbird tokens to Metamask and if so from where? I've tried importing account on Metamask using 42 digit MEW etehereum address but comes up with error (Expected private key to be an Uint8Array with length 32). I'm really frustrated and not sure what to do or what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
jn_r
You can import accounts in metamask, but you must import them using your private key, not your address. Your private key should be 32 bytes, or in hexadecimal format 64 characters .. RambeauTeasebox
XrpJonny
I had a similar problem at the time of the snapshot I used in Ethereum address from my Coinbase self custody wallet, I had the same problem I could see the songbird on XRP scan but couldn’t get to it. I had to put my private keys from my Coinbase Wallet into a mnemonic calculator, then had to go to import account on MetaMask, add the private keys from the Calculator and it showed up I hope it helps he drove me crazy I just figured it out about two hours ago. XrpJonny
If you haven’t already tried it I would suggest going to YouTube and putting in “ how to import MEW eth address to metamask “ or specifically whatever app you used. That’s what I did and it’s of my problem personally
