A bit more on the background of this rumor

hoskinson briefly talked again on this in twitter spaces, said he heard from a friend (hes in legal circles) that there may be a settlement or decision on SJ on Dec 15 (stating that the judge goes on vacation on the 17th)... he adds "If not its likely to get resolved in Q1 (2023)"

So what i take from this is, some lawyer-friend of hoskinson tells him that he thinks this case could end on dec 15 because (??) judge goes on vacation few days later -- so IMO this rumor didnt find its origin from someone with insider information - its seems this was just an opinion from a random lawyer who knows hoskinson personally.
