Gringo
Coil looks like a Ripple excuse to account 1B XRP as distributed. Justin Sun from Tron made a better deal buying Steemit. Even if he provoked a fork ( HIVE ), Steemit is a better idea than Coil.

Heck, I was even a coil customer that paid the $5/month and tested monetizing my site and even I still didn’t get it. wojake and Gringo 1
Gringo
In my opinion the best implementation of a social network with blockchain is still STEEM and even better HIVE. If XRP implements sidechains, they could redesign Coil on an XRP sidechain, but using the STEEM/HIVE model. But I don't known how much of the 1B XRP funding is left. xrp_sea
It seems like they're still operational and active on Twitter. It's hard to tell if anyone actually uses it. I've never heard of it even being mentioned outside of this forum. It's probably safe to say that it's not going to be the next big thing.
