QuestionMark
Shame that nobody seems to be buying the rumours anymore. Remember when we got a 20% on the Mastercard one? It was short lived (both the pump and the partnership) but at least there were some signs of life in XRP back then. Or when a Coinbase listing rumour was enough to kick off a bullrun? Ah, the good old times...

Ah, the good old times... as far as I can remember XRP was never the coin that pumps on rumours or news -- except we are in the midth of a bull market without SEC threatening all XRP in existence to protect (us from getting rich) the incumbent system. We are in a bear market -- no one knows how long it will last, but this SEC-show probably will end before the next bull and the odds are with us on that case - at least for XRP in secondary markets and thats all it needs IMO To be more precise, I believe this lawsuit is the best thing ever happened to XRP (and Ripple) even so I do not like how Judge Netburn handles the SEC so far - but I do like how the SEC is drowning themselves in a cluster of contradictions, objections and its pervasive arrogance presented and layed out in front of the court and the public. Deaton makes a point when saying the lawsuit - as it was filed - doesnt make much sense other than for reasons every XRP holder ever hoped for would become true one day -- namely that XRP or Ripple (or both) are indeed threatening some very powerful entities - and this to be true, if, is quite the most bullish situation you can get for such a "new" tech you`d hope to become really big any time in future. But as quite familiar in crypto - the sickness this space has grown to is to focus on the gainers and hype which evolves the impression of constantly missing out. happygojappy

QuestionMark
@VanHasen I am guessing English is not your first language. Let's leave it at that.

Well, if you are curious - you said "as far as I can remember XRP was never the coin that pumps on rumours or news" which clearly implies that you do not remember times when it did do so, hence my reply that you have not been around in 2017. That's all there was to it, I never said anything about the current market, the SEC case, nor anything else, which you brought up is completely unrelated to anything I said. Hence the "confusion". I am not picking an argument here, that's why I said let's leave it at that. This was just a courtesy reply since you said you were curious. I believe he was trying to say that it didn't necessarily pump due to that rumor, but rather because there was a full bull run on the go. Ahh thanks i see and apologies for the confusion I`ve caused. What i was trying to say is that in 2017 XRP pumped because of the overall bull market condition we were in. I dont very much believe the news/rumours narrative because in most cases i think its really just whales rotating in and out of different coins -> the price starts pumping and the more it continues to pump the more retail gets attracted to it (FOMO). The news and rumours attached to those pumps are often just for creating the impression that the rise in price has some fundamental value to it. But I`m not saying that there is no good news which could get a coin going at its own, its just not often the case -- especially with XRP IMO. Anyway thanks for your clarification! All ALT's hit their ATH's due to Bitcoins Halving post Bull Run.
