Hey, I'm curious where you can buy and sell Songbird as a US resident. If anyone knows, let me know! I've had no luck with Gate.io as it's not "whitelisted"

You can purchase on Bitrue as a US citizen. They won't allow you to KYC, but you can withdraw up to 2 btc daily.

One can exchange other cryptos for SGB on Dex like XUMM. But I'm not sure if that's available for US citizen. It should work I think.

Good idea. And you could just buy one of the tokens your favourite exchange supports and convert to fiat there.

I am using bitrue (for SGB only). To be sure they will not accuse me of this 'n-degree arbitrage trading' I only deposit and withdraw from a native ledger (i.e. songbird ledger or xrp ledger). Up till now, I did not have any problem with them...

But I must say, when SGB can be traded and deposited/withdrawn on Bitstamp - from tomorrow on - (and the price is right on Bitstamp compared with Bitrue) then Bitstamp is my exchange of preference..

Ah nooooo - why did someone have to go and remind me of my Bitrue account that I can still access, yet not withdraw from.  It's like torture.

I didn't see that thread when it was active, but reading it over now I can't see that you did any trading at all. It looks like just deposits and withdrawals. Am I missing something?

I most definitely did trading, manual buying and selling on their platform.  I just had no idea it was breaking T+C's.  I received no email or communication of any sort, just a straight block on any withdrawls - including my initial deposit into the Exchange.  Brutal treatment IMO and i've nothing nice to say about Bitrue because of it - best I not continue with this convo or i'll get grumpy again.

Amazingly, during this downturn in the crypto markets, SGB has been rising - currently you can trade it for 0.6 XRPs or 0.5 USDT now...

( note, another airdrop is coming to us from FF, snapshot on the 12th - so it could drop right after, also Bitstamp finally gave out the tokens to their customers, still waiting on Binance-us - and CMC now lists SIX !! exchanges for it, including Bitrue, Gate.io and MEXC )

I suspect the price will start dropping before the snapshot. There's people who were only interested in the run up and are going to take profits.

Yes, IIRC that was exactly what happened with XRP just before the 12DEC2020 UTC midnight Flare Networks snapshot.

I just checked Bitstamp (see link), and they JUST TODAY (11 hours ago) enabled trading - which I cannot find ANYWAY on their site (logged into my account).

But...

They also posted no withdrawals before the 12th's snapshot, which I'm sure annoys many.

So, what I posted earlier was off - there was no impact on the market from the released Bitstamp tokens yet.

Still no word from Binance-US yet, sigh ( I did leave a few XRP on there, foolishly trusting them to do me right, back in DEC2020 - lesson learned, again ).
