I still don’t get why someone would spend thousands of dollars on this short animation, but I see NFTs beginning on flare and I like it

I don't get it either, but I want to learn.
I am currently delegating my WSGB, but have a few questions:

I see in Bifrost wallet that my pending rewards are climbing (good), this will continue up to somewhere tomorrow (sunday), correct?

The next epoch starts in 6 days and 20 hours, does that mean I can already re-delegate my WSGB? Will this impact the rewards for the current epoch?

I ask these questions because I want to start delegating to BestFTSO, so that I can get some more hands-on experience with NFT's.

This epoch ended at 5pm Saturday evening (can’t remember which time frame, but it’s finished for me here in Korean around 5 on Saturdays) and you can claim the rewards. You can delegate them but they won’t be counted until the next epoch (so in effect there is a one week lag in compounding rewards, you are compounding from the week before last). So the rewards from week before last will impact this week’s rewards, and last weeks rewards will impact next weeks rewards.

The epochs end and start at approximately 8:41 UTC, FYI. Maybe the first block after 8:41 UTC?

Yeah I should be more precise with it but basically in my head I know the random snapshot happens sometime between Thursdays and Saturdays and I can claim rewards after 5pm Korea time.

There is absolutely no rush to wrap the rewarded Songbirds.

You’ve got until at least Thursday’s to get them wrapped so that you are maximising your compounding effect.

If you also consider that network congestion might be greatest just after the epoch ends, ( because people don’t understand that, ) and that network fees and possible problems are greatest during congestion….  well it makes sense to wait a day or so.

It is impossible for you to get them wrapped for consideration in the very next epoch, you will always be skipping at least one.

I'm not suggestion that you need to rush to wrap and delegate -- I'm just wondering exactly when (time/block) the epochs end and start.

Basically, the vote lock happens retrospectively during a random block between every Thursday to Saturday morning. New epochs start early Saturday morning each week. If you want to safely ensure new WSGB is included or any delegations are changed, best practice is to have this done either Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. Its impossible to know the vote lock block until the next epoch has started.
