Myke
I'm about to make my first investment. I want to use a platform/brokerage that has a USA phone # that I can chat with have a rapport with since they'll have my investment. Is there any platform that has this ability? Much Thanx

Much Thanx Oh man, that's a tough one. Customer service is generally terrible all across crypto. If that's what you're looking for, your best bet might be to see if there's any traditional stock brokers who let you buy crypto too. As far as crypto exchanges go, Coinbase and Gemini, are the two US exchanges with New York State BitLicenses, the hardest regulatory standard to comply with in the US. You can try them, but I don't think it'll be easy to get ahold of someone by phone. Edited August 7, 2021 by brianwalden

Much Thanx A good starting place for non techies might be eToro. They have a restricted range of crypto (but a good selection) and you can withdraw them as coins if you want to move onto more wide ranging exchanges. They assign you with a manager provided your investment reaches a certain size, and you can swap from crypto into commodities. I have used them for years and only now am I moving on to putting my stock on to wallets.
Myke
My XRP guru recommendations Caleb & Brown. They do have an individuated broker assigned to each investor. Also they have a California phone number for toll free talking. Commission looks okay. They are an Ausie firm with 14 hrs time difference. However looks good to this Newbie? Any advice is very appreciated. Much thanks. 👁

I'm sure there are others who would like that type of service.

Myke
Fyi. Brokers at common American brokerages we've grown to know. None here in the USA. I've called them all. They don't have any specialists handling crypto. So.. must be out of this country. Any opinions please?

Caleb & Brown brokers says my XRP will be held in a secure acct with them. No need for a external wallet. They are Aussies. Kinda worries me. However I'm a newbie and this entire external wallet process scares me. This will be my cherry breaking experience. Any comments please.
lacafet
I would want to know that their insurance covers custodial cryptocurrency wallets, also that they have appropriate operational security such as using hardware (offline) wallets. If you plan on holding your XRP for longer than 6 months then I'd insist that you are the custodian and the XRP is transferred to your own hardware wallet (Ledger X, Trezor, etc.). When you want to sell you can transfer the XRP back to them. IMO it'd be easier to register on uphold and buy the XRP yourself, it's pretty trivial! carolineroxl
There are many online brokerage platforms that offer customer support through a USA phone number. Some of the popular options include: Charles Schwab: They offer 24/7 customer support through their USA phone number and have been in business for over 45 years. TD Ameritrade: They offer customer support through their USA phone number and have a variety of investment options. E*TRADE: They offer customer support through their USA phone number and have been in business for over 35 years. Dolgan
If one were to ask today about which brokerage company to go to in order to invest. I would still recommend the CMC platform, because it is built for the needs of completely different customers, which makes it very flexible and useful. In fact, this platform has a lot of advantages that I have missed, but many would agree with the fact that this service is very high quality and reliable. For more information, I advise reading cmc markets broker review, where there is more evaluation of different users.
