Will Flare Have A DEX?

The way Flare handles agents who become too under-collateralized is to sell a portion of their FLR that they've put up for collateral for the F-asset that they're backing. Then they burn the F-asset to restore the proper collateralization levels.

But how will they sell it? F-assets are a part of the network itself - they can't rely on a distributed app running ontop of the ledger like Flare Finance. They can't sell it on another network. Maybe they will have a system to make offers to other agents.

Or maybe there will be a DEX. Flare's whitepaper also said that they will depend on arbitrage. Arbitrage is a lot easier if there's a DEX built right in. I'm not saying there will be. In fact, agents who are invested enough will be able to use the different F-assets pools kind of like an exchange. For example they could unmint FXRP, which frees up some collateral, which they can then put into the FLTC pool or whatever to mint that.

I dunno, I'm just thinking and speculating.

I don’t know the details but isn’t there a bridge between Flare and the XRPL which would make it possible to access to XRPL DEX?

Yes, agents are already going to be operating on both ledgers, so if there are bridges to move coins back and forth, they can use the XRPL DEX.

But I don't think the F-asset protocol itself can if it needs to liquidate an under-collateralized agent.
