Mining with a rig that uses only 12v!!!!! Energy problem solved!

I want to start with mining crypto's but the prices of a mining rig is just insane expensive and they use tons of electricity. But in my search i bumped into helium coin mining,
and that works with som little mining rig that looks like a mediabox for your tv and uses a 12v adapater and a antenna and that's it! so no heat, no noise and no large electrical bills,
so perfect i would say, so i wonder if there are other members who have heared of this.  The profits that can be made are between 5 dollar on a bad day and 1500 dollar on a good day!
So it sounds too good to be true, but it's booming alright because the mining equipment is sold out and there's a 12-20 week waiting list, so more and more people are stepping into this way of mining, and the best part is that this mining rig, a bobcat miner 300, only cost 429 dollars, so peanuts compared with other mining equipment.
The negative side is that you can't place more than 1 rig on one location because the next rig needs to be at least 1000 feet away from the next one or else your profits will be 50% less,
so when you live in new york then you're going to mine 50% because new york is already stuffed with these miners, but i live in Holland europe and here there are only a few hundred
of these miners in the whole country, and most are concentrated in the larger cities but not where i live, so this might be a great oportunity for as long the country isn't flooded with these miners, and i have 3 locations where i can install one, so i could triple whatever profit it would generate, so are there forum members who know more about this way of crypto mining?

It is sad that you have to buy one from their official partners. People should be able to setup their own raspberry pis (or other devices)

It's only 429 dollars and can be earned back in just hours, and in the most worst case in only 80 days!
Now find me any other mining rig that can do the same. When it really works as promissed, then those 429 dollar is a steal!

This is true, but the situation can turn around quickly and if ordered now you have to wait 3-5 months for delivery. This is simply forcing people into buying the devices from their partners, which will also probably generate some income for them instead of letting people buy and use whatever they want.
And from a "true" crypto standpoint you shouldn't have to rely on third parties, this is weakening decentralization.

Besides that, I am interested how the profit is calculated, can you show me some calculations?

Btw, there's a waiting list for all mining rigs and gpu's, so it doesn't matter in wich waiting line you stand in line.

And i don't see the whole cryptoworld colapse in the next few years, so i'm not afraid of that. Besides that, the rig only cost 429 dollars , so 10 times cheaper than the cheapest eth mining rigs, so it's sure worth a gamble imo.

I didn't want to sound rude or offensive at all :)
I just would have liked if they gave you the opportunity to use a self built model.
I will take a look around and see if I can find one to buy. At the current Helium price you are right in your assumption, if it really brings in 4-5 Helium coins per day.

I don't mind when you're sceptic about this because it sure sounds too good to be true. The only down side is this 12-20 week waiting time to get one, let alone that i could pick up 6-7 of these miners because i want 3, a friend wants 3 and another friend wants one.

Helium coin mining is an interesting thing. It's always worth taking a look. 12-20 weeks delivery time is very long. But you can use the time to read up on helium coin mining. (https://www.helium.com) Bobcat Miner 300, cost (only) $ 429! If you want to make it a little cheaper at the beginning, you should look at this. NBR-0022 - HNT Indoor Hotspot Miner - 868MHz (EU865, RU864, IN865), Nebra!
This hotspot miner is for Europe and costs as much as 300 euros.
Here is a link where you can look for your place of residence and see how many hotspots are already there.

https://explorer.helium.com/coverage#2.2/39.83/-65.58

2 friends and I want to build a ring in our town. We still have to wait for our hotspot miner to be delivered. I can't say more at the moment.

Another Dutchie here. Seems to good to be true indeed, but I see several rigs in my neighborhood, none of which within the 300m radius.

I'm tempted...

Now amsterdam is already very busy and were alot of people are within that 300 meters, but not in Tilburg where i live

because i count only 8 users and then the small towns like hilvarenbeek have not a single one, so i could mine

here for years to come. Now don't tell anybody in holland, because we should make sure that not everyone

is going to come at the same idea. However, when i look at marktplaats, then i see people offering 1300 dollars

for bobcat 300 miner, so some people are really desperate to get their hand on one.

Interested, but that waiting list is off-putting. Plus only one other miner within a 50 mile radius, so may not get much rewards.

i made a mistake by thinking that the less other miners in the area, the better, but that's not the case. The hotspots need to be at least 1000 foot apart from the next one, but also not further than 10 miles from other hotspots, so now i need to find out how much money a miner generates with only a handfull of other hotspots in the area. My city has about 200.000 people but there are only 8 hotspots and they generate as good as no money at all, so i must do some more research
because i don't want to spend 429 dollars when it only generates 50 bucks or so a month, because that's not worth the hassle and investment because helium is also going to be halved by the end of august.
