Hi @FTSO_AU can I ask please if you could report on the current state of play?

With Songbird now live have you started providing a price feed?

Have you got anyone delegating to you as yet?

Do you have any inkling of when Bifrost wallet will be connected?  I have the beta iOS version and so far can’t see how to do any configuration to connect to the RPC that has been mentioned for Metamask users.

No. No-one has, the FTSO contracts haven’t been deployed.

It’s pending approval from the app / play stores, so at the mercy of those. I have no idea how quick / slow that process is.

Towo Labs have an RPC whitelisted. Here’s a tutorial. https://docs.flare.network/en/tutorials/wallets/how-to-access-flare-network-with-metamask

We’ve been advised all other SP’s will have their IP address whitelisted Monday UK time.

The Bifrost beta version doesn’t seem (to my amateur eyes) to have any way to do that config as yet.  Just wait a bit I suppose.

Here’s a preview of the wrap/unwrap dialog box and the delegation steps in our dashboard.

 

We kept them as separate processes, from a workflow perspective - once wrapped you may not need to unwrap or do anymore wrapping, however you may want to fiddle with your delegation % … hopefully leaving some with us. 😉 (Perhaps we should hard-code that) 😂

At the very least have it already set when page loads.

So do you have a call then to the wallet to sign?  I thought we would be assigning in wallets.  I hadn’t considered using the providers web pages.

Yes, it will make you sign the transaction. 

 

I’m not sure if other providers will be offering this, and if they do I don’t know that they’ll offer the ability to delegate to other providers. Time will tell. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hey @BillyOckham this is fairly typical for DeFi.

You go to a website that will set up the transaction for what you want to do in a click or two. Then you connect your wallet it and it asks you to sign and transmit the transaction if you agree to it.

Bifrost, if I understand correctly, will have vote delegation right within the wallet. But this can never be truly decentralized - Bifrost can only let you vote for their approved list of data providers. This is why individual data providers are providing their own web-based services to delegate your vote. You're rightly skeptical, you should always be cautious.

Thanks for that but I was unclear.  I was not being sceptical just asking because I was thinking too wallet-centric.

And now that you have reminded me I can recall doing the handoff-to-sign thing a few times in past.

Just in passing….   I have seen you helping a good many folk on here about all this and wanted to say I thinks it’s great what you do.  You are helping make this place a great resource.

We’ve been whitelisted and our RPC can be accessed for anyone looking to connect.

Note the extra token address you’ll need to add so you’ll see WSGB in your MetaMask when the time comes to wrap.
