Links: Flare website / Flare Discord / Flare Telegram / Flare Twitter List of Projects Currently Announced (last updated June 5 2021) Flare Finance (Flare Finance website / FF Discord / FF Telegram / FF Twitter) Flare Finance are going to launch a suite of six DeFi products which are similar to some already available on Ethereum. The products are FlareX, which is a DEX for swaps and liquidity pools (for passive income). FlareFarm, which allows farming of yield through various staking options. FlareWrap which allows users to have an immediately available stablecoin currency on Flare. FlareLoans: asset-backed loans issuance platform. FlareMutual, which is a decentralised mutual fund. And FlareMine which allows BTC and ETH miners to mine FLR. Flare Finance also will have its own tokens, primarily YFLR which will be airdropped to FLR holders after the Flare network launch. Gala Games (Gala Games website / GG Discord / GG Telegram / GG Reddit) Gala is a type of gaming platform, partially owned and operated by its players. It allows players to buy land, trade items, and other things you would associate with a crypto/NFT game. The first game, Townstar, is already available to play. Mirandus, a fantasy MMORPG and Fortified, a tower defence game, are in development. Gala, which currently mints its token and NFTs on Ethereum, is planning to move everything to the Flare network, and tokens on Ethereum will be burned. Flare Network recently bought a ‘citadel’ on Mirandus for 3.5 million dollars. Trustline and Probity (Trustline website) Trustline app and the Probity vault are an autonomous blockchain bank for consumer credit. Trustline is also creating the decentralised Aurei stablecoin, which is backed and secured by crypto collateral. It is backed by FLR, XRP, and other cryptocurrencies. Aurei will also be the first stablecoin to be issued trustlessly on the XRP Ledger. With the Trustline app, users will be able to plug into the Trustline Credit Network to make payments to anyone in the network. By depositing FLR and XRP into a Probity vault, users can use the app like a credit card or like a high-yield savings account. 888 The New World - NFT Marketplace for Artists (website) "A new NFT marketplace backed by some of the biggest digital artists and collectors in the world." 'Owned and operate by' a long list of artists, including Paris Hilton, 3LAU, and Pak. Panther Protocol (medium post) "Panther Protocol is an end-to-end privacy protocol for DeFi. Panther provides DeFi users with fully collateralized privacy-enhancing digital assets, leveraging crypto-economic incentives and zkSNARKs technology. Users are able to mint zero-knowledge zAssets by depositing digital assets from any blockchain into Panther vaults. zAssets will become an ever-expanding asset class for users who want their transactions and strategies the way they should always have been: private." CEO and co-founder of Panther Protocol: “We are delighted to work with the best in class, enabling privacy rights for individual and public blockchains. Flare has a powerful tech stack with a focus on institutional integration. We are excited to partner with them to build Panther privacy in the Flare ecosystem.” Stealth Metaverse Full details have not been revealed yet but it appears to be a ‘metaverse’ utilising NFTs. Propy (Propy website) Again, full details not yet announced but this is going to an NFT Real-Estate platform. "Settlement for high value assets on smart contracts." Sparkles A community-run project to build a platform that allows you to buy, sell and mint NFTs on the Flare Networks. Handshake DNS type stuff that's not restricted to hosting websites. "An experimental peer-to-peer root naming system." Celsius Network The spark token will be useable in the Celsius Network. brianwalden
Handshake - DNS type stuff that's not restricted to hosting websites. Propy - I don't know if they're officially coming to Flare yet or just rumors, but Propy is using NFTs for real estate sales. I would rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed. agonyaunt

The Metaverse project is a bonus to me and appears that Flare Network team has a bigger picture than others. Yeah I don't get it either, but the more I see what Flare is building, the more I think I'm going to collect a sum of money I can afford to lose (and I mean that in a strict sense), split it into 10 parts, and just put one part each into various projects on Flare. Hugo's vision is bigger than we can grasp and we have a chance to get in on day one. I don't know if it'll pay off - the XRPL is also a huge idea that hasn't been utilized anywhere near its potential. But I'm willing to toss in a few bones and see what comes out of it. The metaverse is where his money is, to a greater degree than defi. He doesn't specify which coins he's buying, but that's what he's most excited about. Reckons it will replace wesbites to a degree. So we each have our own space in the metaverse. Go to a virtual shop and pick out what we want. Real items like clothes may come with a virtual version which we can wear when we go out to meet our mates in virtual world. So we all sit at home with our headsets on, meeting our mates for dinner at exotic virtual locations, wearing virtual equivalents to our real world clothing, or choosing to go as a woman or some shit. Lol. This stuff may be more realistic than you think, especially if we have pandemics all the time and can't actually go out. On our way home we get a message from the other half asking us to get some groceries. So we pop into a virtual shop, choose what we want, that translates to an real order for same day delivery from our local supermarket, and we receive the items at our real home before our virtual night out ends. Take off our headsets, and put the real milk we just bought in the fridge, and tell our other half about what a nice night out we had, and how it's great catching up for dinner with that mate you haven't spoken to for several months, and that we had a great view of the Grand Canyon whilst having dinner. Take this shit to another level, and you buy holiday accommodation in a virtual country at a beautiful location, and organise daily virtual activities. Anyway I'm talking spontaneously and without really thinking about things properly but you get the idea. Now imagine how much teenagers and vacuous superficial people will be willing to pay for cool looking virtual clothes and fashion accessories cos that's where they'll all be meeting their mates after school or work and you can imagine that some pretty dumb people will probably pay a lot of money for some shit that you or I might laugh at. Then think about virtual luxury houses and virtual supercars. Virtual tickets for football/ sports matches where you're linked in very closely to the matchday experience. Virtual exercise. So you get real physical exercise but instead of going running in your local gym you purchase a run through some Himalayan valley. Might be some money in this shit, that's all I'm saying! As crazy as it sounds, I think there's a lot of future there. Check out the latest Vogue Scandinavia. The story that is told: Greta hasn't bought clothes for three years because the fashion industry is so climate-damaging.... Again, as wacky as that sounds, I also think it goes in the direction you outlined.
