Yes, but link spammers aren't breaking forum rules so they're free to post click bait thread titles.  You can put the poster on ignore but it still shows up in the new posts feed.

Look at his post history he is only posting links to his blog and never contributing anything on this forum...

the problem is not with choosing to ignore. the problem is about less experienced members reading those junk blog posts and spreading fake news.
