Diamond39
I'm looking for a block chain developer to help with an existing codebase for Ripple. I need this program on Github below setup and fixed. The program works a bit but fails building, probably because software packages aren't backwards compatible. I think one can get this to work after spending time binding older dependency package versions. https://github.com/ripple/ripple-client When RippleTrade existed it allowed people to create their own custom secret key within the ripple system. So I need the program to be able to retrieve an old custom secret. It doesn't matter if certain features don't work I only need to be able to retrieve the custom key or seed list. I'm willing to pay for a working solution. Edited April 11, 2021 by Diamond39
Begofend
Can you retrieve it with the website? Can you remember your old user name and password? The website was working just a couple of weeks ago. https://www.rippletrade.com
jargoman
I'm not sure you can recover using the codebase alone. The codebase makes references to an online blobvault. Your key would be located as an encrypted blob in the vault. If you have a back up code of some sort maybe you could retrieve the secret but only if the backup code contains the key or an encrypted version of the key. If all you have is a user name and password then you need the rippletrade link above to be working. Maybe if you are lucky the blob vault is still online and you can access the blobvault by using another ripple-client but that seems like an insecure set up. more information is needed. What do you have that you think you can retrieve the key using the wallet? A recovery key?
Diamond39
Are you sure The RippleTrade.com website was working a few weeks ago? They had taken it down years ago way back in 2014 and never saw it online again. Yes I still have my username and password but I don't believe it can be used as the website is not working. I have all the information below: Custom Secret Key Ripple Wallet Name Ripple Address Pass Phrase Ripple Trade User Name Ripple Trade Password Triceratops

Do you have the secret key (aka family seed) which is a long string of characters beginning with 's'? If you have it, then just import it to Xumm wallet for Android or iOS. brianwalden
What others have said. If you have the secret key that starts with s (don't share it here) you can import your wallet into any wallet software. XUMM by XRPL Labs is the most popular software wallet today. Diamond39
No it does not start with the letter "s". As I remember when Ripple Trade was around there was an option to create your own secret key and not use the standard s configuration. I have two addresses. The custom key or secret key is 25 characters long for one and the other one is 28 characters long. The 25 character one looks similar to: $hRc4Wj7S#qOx2EW&b5332P*! (Below is example but not real) Secret Key: $hRc4Wj7S#qOx2EW&b5332P*! Wallet Name: Richard008 Ripple Address: r********************************* Pass Phrase: $yUv0Wp$W#kLm3QW@*n9845*
