Jkumar
Hey everyone, I am using toast wallet since 2018, but as they are not in service anymore I want to shift my funds to a better or equally good paper wallet. After some research I found "Bithomp" as the only viable option. Kindly share your thoughts about Bithomp & give me some recommendations (if any). I am not ready to invest into hardware wallet at the moment, hence I am looking for paper wallet recommendations only. After some research, I am quite sure that wallets like "Coinomi, Exodus & Atomic" are not secure like paper wallets. So, they are out of the list already. Duke67
If you can handle anything that works with node.js in an offline regime, this is all you need: https://github.com/Duke67/xrptoolkit-nodejs pucksterpete
namini
Bithomp is great in my opinion, the author is a member of this forum for several years now. The code is open source and you can generate a keypair offline: https://bithomp.com/paperwallet/ https://github.com/Bithomp Edited January 12, 2021 by namini Skippy and Jkumar
BentCopper
any chance of getting my 20 XRP back from toast, since it appears to really be toast now? Danny
namini
If you kept your secret key yes, you can with Xumm but 5 XRP will be burned in the process. https://support.xumm.app/hc/en-us/articles/360018166359-How-to-delete-your-on-ledger-XRP-account

The twenty is the account reserve and is enforced by the XRP ledger for every account. Deleting the account will recover 15. But really... just because Toast is toast does not mean you need a new address. You can simply import that account into any other wallet and avoid paying a new 20 XRP fee for the new account address. You will be simply using your existing address. The only reason you would need a new address is if you felt that Toast was compromised which is not the case... they simply no longer are supporting the wallet. The other option to mention here is that if you want to use a wallet app on your iOS device then XUMM was created by Weitse who created the XRPTipbot on Twitter and has been a member here for a long time. His growing software company has support from Xpring. BentCopper and PunishmentOfLuxury
RippleHomeboy
Agree with Billy. In terms of non-custodial wallets, XUMM is the way to go. You're also supporting one of the best dev groups in the XRP community. You can even use XUMM and Toast at the same time because you're really just querying the DEX. (Correct me if I'm wrong) BillyOckham

You can read about the app's security here: https://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/29000016248-how-safe-are-my-funds-how-are-my-private-keys-stored- Edited January 13, 2021 by Fer_Coinomi

It's just a paper wallet, it basically generate you a keypair for you (public key / secret key) offline, nothing more. If you want to use it other than an offline storage, you'll have to import the secret key in Xumm or other. Check also https://www.xrpchat.com/links/ good infos there. As far as I know, they will not update the wallet anymore which makes it vulnerable. I want to increase my holdings, so being secure is my top priority.
