Is USD safe on Gatehub.net?

I know you hold your own XRP private key on Gatehub...but what if you sell your XRP for BTC or USD? Is your money still safe from hackers?

Hi @hello, your USD will be as safe as the XRP's on your ripple wallet. All currencies in the wallet are protected by the same private key.

I can vouch. Never had an issue with Gatehub with both EUR and USD security.

The only risk (as long as your secret key is not compromised) is if gateway attached to your IOU decides not to redeem your IOU for fiat.

I wonder why people use other exchanges like BTC-e or Poloniex?
