Skippy 7,357
With XUMM you essentially are responsible for the XRP and Spark tokens yourself. You have to be able to create an ETH compatible address and secret, which will be identical in the Flare-network (the public address will be added to the Message Key of your XRP address in XUMM). If you have doubts about your doings and security, you shouldn't risk your XRP because of Spark tokens. If you have any questions, just ask. Bitrue (if you trust Bitrue) will support Spark and maybe some others too. https://bitrue.zendesk.com/hc/en-001/articles/360053316913-Bitrue-Will-Support-The-Spark-Distribution-From-Flare . Bitstamp was considering it also. https://www.bitstamp.net/article/bitstamp-considering-flare-networks-spark-airdrop/ The decision has to be made by 12th of Dec. On that day a snapshot of XRP addresses and their balances will be taken. Flintstone and KarmaCoverage
kenrino 821
You still have time, wait to see if your exchange support the airdrop by 12th of december, otherwise holding Xrp on the ledger is even more secure but it's a bit more technical.

I would not say it is more secure. It really depends how you create, secure and store your passphrases. At least you can blame yourself if something gets lost or stolen. If you pass away, your close ones might not be able to recover your funds etc.
XRPwinning 712
I just used Wiestse's little app https://flare.wietse.com/ for adding the eth address to your XRP account with xumm. It was absolutely flawless. I trust xumm with a portion of my bag and I love it. Can even use it to sign trades on the XRP DEX using https://www.xrptoolkit.com/trade UI Edited November 18, 2020 by XRPwinning
panmores 2,194
OP you might have a look at Nexo as well, they're more like a custodian, are supporting the airdrop and seem quite established. Or, yes, Bithumb: https://twitter.com/BithumbOfficial/status/1328948390038736899 Edited November 18, 2020 by panmores
denverks 220
Nexo lend your coins, it's a company like Cred who recently lost all users coins... @Lethalcoin, you probably downloaded the app from a phishing website or got a virus, this has nothing to do with xumm. THARWANI 20
Safest way is to use Ledger Nano for claiming Spark token follow https://flare.wietse.com/. For more safety transfer your XRP on 13th December to some other XRP address in Ledger.
