fero 25
PayPal Launches New Service Enabling Users to Buy, Hold and Sell Cryptocurrency, but no XRP in the initial offering . anyone knows or has an idea as to why? https://newsroom.paypal-corp.com/2020-10-21-PayPal-Launches-New-Service-Enabling-Users-to-Buy-Hold-and-Sell-Cryptocurrency CountZerpula
peanut56 1,336
From what I could tell, they are allowing to fund your paypal account. So it seems that paypal would take the cryptocurrency, sell it on the market, charge a fee and fund your personal account with it. So, it may be a thing under the disguise of "look we are making progress into digital payments," while they really are trying to reap some fees. baggy23 and Dario_o

I can only sell crypto for fiat, but I'm not allowed to buy crypto with fiat? CountZerpula
CountZerpula 27,904
All told I think it's a good thing, but the storyline is better written as PayPal Launches New Service Enabling Users to Buy, 'Hold' and Sell Cryptocurrency - But Not Hold Private Keys, Transfer Currencies To Other Users, Or Send Them To Merchants' Or Other Wallets Zerponaut, jetbrzzz and DannyRipple 2

I may be wrong - but it seems you should be able to if you're an account holder https://s1.q4cdn.com/633035571/files/doc_presentations/2020/10/Crypto_Buy_Sell_Hold_Announcement_Details.pdf

He is so far the only one on my list. He made it by never ever putting anything of value out and never missing an opportunity to snipe at XRP and it’s holders. Some people apparently enjoy throwing brickbats. To be honest I wish people wouldn’t quote him either, then I’d never notice his vomitus.
