I am still waiting for the gatehub support on the exchange that I have made which is not complete even after 4 hours now. My exchange is over 100,000 so obviously am worried. I have been given ticket number and no further response yet. Below is the transaction detail. Gatehub do something, you mention everyewhere from reddit to website that exchange can complete in matter of seconds. This is over 4 hours. Here is the support ticket number which is meaning less to me at this point - 6415

I assume that nothing was deducted from your Gatehub wallet.  If so, try doing the exchange again but in smaller increments.  The same thing happened to me when I tried to do a large exchange.  Once I separated my exchange into smaller sizes, the transaction went through immediately.

i went to exchange and i did it from there i didnt trade ?

Disclaimer- I personally don't use the exchange feature much, preferring the Trade option. I am guessing you bought all the XRP at a set rate and rest of the order was unfulfilled?

Does your USD balance go down?

Then the exchange didn't go through for some reason. Give it a few min (in case there is a delay) make sure to cancel all pending orders and attempt again with smaller amounts.

OR

Go to the Trade tab and manually trade for XRP. The nice thing with this option is you can see market depth and make sure your not paying too much in one purchase

For large orders we suggest using Trade page instead of Exchange.

Any orders submitted using Exchange will have a special flag "fillOrKill" which protects you from a bad exchange rate. Using exchange order will execute immediately (and the balance will change) or it will be immediately canceled.

In our next Wallet release we will describe this functionality better and mark any exchanges that were not completed as a result of this behaviour.

Thank you Mercury.

Looks like a bug in the Exchange option (but not with small amounts).

Weird fact is that it did not create a sell order in the Trade option instead.

So it's impossible to cancel anything. Same kind of notifications as rashedalssarhi. And the balance is not updated neither.

As@enej explained the Exchange has a flag to fillorkill. This is not a bug but a feture to protect against bad trades.
This is particularly good if the tip of the exchange was a good rate but the depth was filled with less than desirable offers.

With Trade you can see all offers and either make immediate trades on them or set up standing offers to filled when the market moves.

Actually with the current Wallet it is not obvious that these kind of Exchange transactions are cancelled. They seem to be fulfilled.

Well... I've just missed a crazy trade but I'm not gonna blame anybody except myself. Thanks for the explanation.
