I think it's also, to some extent, a sign of our times. Conspiracy theories of all kinds are popping up everywhere and it seems people have largely lost the ability to separate facts from reality, or maybe even (at least in some cases) the desire to.

Damn right! Too many nut jobs in the XRP comunity.

Yeah, remember that guy going on about "dozens of  banks" using ODL? What a crackpot!

Also, maybe Ripple could use this line of reasoning in their court case for conspiring to defraud the public?

We would all easily understand the facts and truth about XRP, IF Ripple Labs would start stating them.
In the meantime, I suggest investing in Samsonite, as they are still the quickest, cheapest, and safest way to send cash overseas.

Any venture that launches from a lie as big as the “suitcase use case” shouldn’t be surprised their credibility is low, and their message is unclear.

Speaking of unclear messages,  would you mind explaining what lie you are talking about?

to my eyes your statement gets about as close to a lie as FUD is ever able; Ripplenet ODL is up and running, it is secure and it costs a lot less than an air ticket!...but hey ho you got a like from the embittered LetHerRip.

We have been “signing a bank a week” (Unfortunately all of those banks had no money)

Tiffany Hayden was a paid influencer, and also posting as XRPTrump.

“MoneyGram is Testing/using XRP” (But Not without being well paid and only 1 transaction per year)

”We have partnered with American Express” (Not according to AMX)

“X-Pool does not exist”

“The escrow will only be used to keep the price of XRP stable and seed the market”  (As soon as we are done taking advantage of the pumps- and don’t expect our monthly accounting to add up)

“XRP was gifted to us”

“Xrapid is the third puzzle piece and the key to XRP volume” “

“Jed is a crook”

“R3 is BAD” (Until we partner with them)

That’s what I have in 30 seconds, which equals the memory span of most fan boys.

Let's not mix up our Ripple execs. Brad said a bank would be using XRP by end of 2018, many banks by the end of 2019 and 6% of SWIFT messages fail according to their own stats. All of which turned out to be untrue

David was the one who sold a big chunk of his XRP last year when the price was 30 cents.

The suitcase advert was a complete lie lets be frank. In case anyone has forgotten.
