None, but there are plenty of options

Best is to generate the secret offline on an unused computer that's not connected to the internet to make sure the secretkey is only for you. Always backup the secret and check if it still works, try it with small amount of xrp first

I think the Jatchili minimalist wallet is good too (I checked the sourcecode) as long it's not used with Safari browser

Do NOT use the jatchili wallet with the Safari browser. Jatchili wallet isn't maintained anymore and there is a bug that only seems to exist with the Safari browser where you can lose the xrp. It did worked for me fine with Firefox in the past and I like its simpleness but unless you know what you are doing there probably are better options. I don't know what is the best offline generator at this moment. You can have a look at the links page.

You can also try Xumm which is seen as a reliable app that should be able to generate secrets but I haven't tested it. Generally, a hardware wallet works very well and keeps your key secure as long you keep a copy of the keys somewhere. Handling raw secret keys on an internet connected computer maybe allows malware to steal it. Using a hardware wallet prevents that, while you can still sign transactions. If you have the money I think a Ledger Nano (from the original webshop, NOT from ebay or unreliable sources) works well and is secure.

for a newbie, it's hard to do, plus it is also quite impractical, not everyone conveniently has an unused computer just to generate keys.

for casual investment, a simple UI desktop wallet is sufficient, like Exodus wallet (now supports xrp), if serious amount is invested and you're not comfortable losing it, get a Ledger Nano S, simple as that

Hi JasCrypto

In my case i used toast wallet to generate my paper wallet, the software generates an encrypted json string which you can restore in toast wallet afterwards, i am a bit paranoid so i created my wallet, sent a small amount of xrp, backed up the encrypted string, uninstalled toast wallet, installed it again and i restored the encrypted json string just to check that everything was ok.

I was trying for paper wallet .... After creating paper wallet from github- jatchili.... I saved the keys and I encrypted with pass phrase also.... But when I try to sweep paper wallet into online wallet like exodus wallet it sweep with private key... It does not ask for any pass phrase which I have set... Then what's the use of encryption

One way would be to use Toast Wallet to generate an address/key on your phone or tablet while in airplane/no internet/no wifi/no Bluetooth mode.   Record the secret key on paper.  Delete the Toast Wallet off the phone.

If you have malware on it then it IS possible (but perhaps unlikely) that it is so sophisticated it records the key from the creation process of the Toast app and later when reconnected reports back to hacker.  So if you use a end of life phone, or a disposable one, then you can eliminate that by the phones destruction.

Once you’ve decided on your level of acceptable risk you can proceed with life.

But before you do that and fully trust that you recorded the secret correctly,  you should test the paper wallet.  The best way to do that is via an offline transaction.  That’s a complex thing though and beyond my time limit here.  Toast have instructions for doing it.  There are other ways too...  you need to read a lot of stuff to get on top of it.

Another easier way of testing the key is with no network connected import it into Toast.  If it imports you have it correct.  Then delete the Toast app.

It’s a complex thing with many traps.  Most importantly DO NOT TRUST A PAPER WALLET WITH YOUR FUNDS UNTIL ITS PROVEN THAT YOU HAVE THE KEY CORRECTLY RECORDED.

I am not familiar with that method of creation, the pass phrase is the keyword to decrypt the data, i do not know what to response to that.

But @PunishmentOfLuxury gave you a great resources to create your paper wallet, either option you choose is really good.
