EricBall
I have an idea for an online business which would accept XRP via direct payment to the business account + client specific destination tag. I imagine the best plan would be to run a private stock rippled server and use the subscribe method to kick off processing when account receives a direct payment. My conundrum is how to handle the scenario where the rippled server is offline or disconnected from the network. I could (should?) have a pair of rippled servers, but even if I went to the expense and complexity of geographic redundancy, I think I'd still want to have a method to "resync" if required. Use account_tx and somehow sync between that data and the subscribe updates? Anyone done anything like this and have some "best practice" suggestions - or suggestions on a better place to ask the question?
Sukrim
Hire an expert in the field. In general you can know from each server at which point in time it currently is synced, so you can detect outages within seconds anyways and fail over.
lexfurther
The key to the successful business is a knowledge of the marker, your customer and main selling techniques. I hope you have all of those.
