Hey guys, I'm trying to send XRP into my new Gatehub wallet, but Bittrex keeps failing to send Could it be because I only have 19.98XRP in there? I read somewhere that you need 20 or 50 or something.

@philipp just as a reminder, you still can deposit & trade cryptos without waiting for USD/EUR verification.

 

@criphop As far as I know Bittrex don't allow to send XRP to new wallets (that's stupid) but 19.98 XRP is enough and your wallet is activated. Maybe you're trying to enter a destination tag? (for a not-hosted wallet you don't need to enter a destination tag). Post your ripple public address here (start with a r...) if you want.

Thanks for the help. Do you mean my receive address in the bottom left of my wallet? p.s how do I tell what is public and private? Guess that's important so should ask right away. Damn I feel like a noobie.

Yes in the bottom left or the wallet page.

 

Ripple public address start with a r... (you can share it with anyone)

Secret key start with a s... (never share it with anyone, print it if you want to backup it)

hum yes your wallet is activated you should be able to send From Bittrex (again you don't need a destination tag) I send you 1 XRP so you have 20 but it shouldn't make a difference.

 @haxllega just open an account with gatehub and simply verify your phone number, they should activate your wallet. Tell us if it doesn't work.

There is just a problem, because I already use the Ripple Desktop Wallet and I withdrew over 100 coins from Eobot. 

But it didn't activate my address.

it depends, what wallet do you use? Gatehub?

If you use Gatehub and you verified your phone number they probably activated your wallet, you just have to add a trust line for bitcoin and generate a deposit bitcoin address.
