I believe there is more need to add more fiat coins than cryptos to increase liquidity and make xrp investing cost effective.

It looks like with @Nicolas's FlashFX AUD will be coming to Gatehub soon. Have you all noticed that Gatehub is the home for XRP and fiat IOUs while Gatehub Fifth is the home for digital asset IOUs? Interesting structure, it's likely for legal/regulatory reasons. In any event I'm looking forward to more tokens on gatehub fifth and from what I hear in other communities, cryptoenthusiasts are dying for more fiat pairs. Would be really interesting to see how Bitcoin would be affected if it lost its role as the major onramp for crypto (not that Gatehub alone could address this issue). Nonetheless, seems like it makes a lot of sense to build XRP markets so that any two assets can be autobridgebetween as @JoelKatz has mentioned before. You could buy any token with any fiat and it would be bridged through XRP in the background if that were the cheapest path. This would help bring liquidity to the Ripple Ecosystem and volume to XRP. It would also allow corporate clients to accept payments in any asset while allowing them to receive the asset or fiat of their choice.

Btw, if you all decide to issue Gatehub crypto tokens that pay dividends let me know ;)

Those are just two gateways (hence 2 different Ripple addresses) managed by one company. So if you want to use an asset issued by Gatehub (EUR, BTC...), you need to trust the correct gateway. I guess it's a bit confusing that the company, their wallet app and one of the gateways are all called "Gatehub" :-|

@Rchopra, sorry for the confusion, seems I need to correct myself. I thought GateHub Ltd. uses two issuing ripple addresses (ripple accounts) and call them "Gatehub" and "Gatehub 5th". But obviously this is not true and they use many more (one for USD and EUR and one separate for each crypto token). And the main difference is that GateHub Fifth is different legal entity which partners with GateHub Ltd. and covers the 4 crypto issuing accounts.
From user's perspective, assuming they're using www.gatehub.net wallet, these details are hidden as the app manages trustlines to correct accounts for respective assets.

Regarding FlashFX, my guess would be they will join GateHub partners and will use new ripple address issuing AUD. In that case you'd see new option to connect to AUD gateway in www.gatehub.net which would setup proper trustline and possibly facilitate AUD deposit.

From user perspective, the main difference between the GateHub (USD, EUR) and GateHub Fifth (BTC, ETH, ETC, REP) gateways is in the AML/KYC procedures: For GateHub, users need to provide identifying documents, while for GateHub Fifth only phone number verification is necessary.

What is the legal name of this legal entity and where is it registered? GateHub is not a different legal entity AFAIK.

And I doubt they can create a separate legal entity out of the blue without informing the customers and maybe getting their consent (because the data controller changes).

I'd think very carefully about this. Gatehub has an opportunity to allow users to trade exotic pairs through XRP. There are a lot of exotic tokens that have strong followings but few places to trade those tokens. Holders are also frustrated by having to go through BTC to trade those tokens.

I think this forum is the wrong place to ask this question, I would go to forums for other tokens to get a sense for whether they are looking for more exchanges to trade on and why. I would focus on attracting new customers rather then trying to get current customers to hold more assets on gatehub, that will happen naturally if there are more traders.

Communities to investigate include: XMR, DASH, LTC, FCT, DCR, ZEC, GNT etc. I would literally go down the line on coinmarketcap, find the major communities for each token, and ask what would attract them to a new exchange and see if you can offer that.

Personally I'd like to see FCT and DCR on the Ripple network.

@cmbartley, your insightful comments have been of great value to us at GateHub. I just wanted to say thank you.

Hey @cmbartley, we are already processing XRP and fiat payments to Gatehub however there is a need to automate ripple transfers (deposit/withdrawals) especially for Australian users. We are fully integrated with Gatehub but have an independant gateway infrastructure. At this point in time we're setup as a fiat payments processer for non ripple users. Work in progress to improve the AUD gateway service for ripple users.
